I do some of my car tires by hand in my garage (wire rims with tubes, don't trust tire shops to do them right). Why did you pick this product vs others?: Works. Does not move once installed. Not sure if it was worth it, but it should last for plenty of future tire changes.

Used this a few weeks ago to change a motorcycle tire on my Harbor Freight tire changer and it did its job. It was much easier changing the tire with it than without it. :-)

To be fair, I used this on motorcycle tires, so can't really rate it fairly of how it may work on auto tires. As for motorcycles, in my opinion, not that good.

This holds the bead inside the rim, so that you don't have the tire slip out as you pull the other side over the rim. I was a little worried that it wouldn't work, as this isn't the "yellow thing" from the big company. It did work, and it didn't slip. Go on, buy it, if you are mounting tires by hand. ... show more
