  • PRODUCT DETAILS: Variation: PEM Economy Pressure Gauge. Dial Size: 2" (50mm.) Dimension: 3 x 2 x 1.2 inches. Accuracy: +/- 3-2-3%. Material: Bronze and Brass. Case: Steel painted Black. For non-clogging and non-corroding media.

Description

The Winters PEM series pressure gauge with brass wetted parts has a circular dial enclosed in a steel case and a male connection, and measures pressure with a dual scale (psi/kPa)/(Hg. vacuum/kPa) with an accuracy of + or - 3/2/3%. The brass wetted parts are for measuring non-corrosive liquid and gas pressure. The black-painted steel case is Ingress Protection certified IP52 for protection against dust or liquids. The circular dial comes in 1.5" (40 mm), 2" (50 mm), 2.5" (63 mm), and 4" (100 mm) diameters. The dial has an aluminum black pointer. The lens for the 1.5", 2", and 2.5"diameter dials is polycarbonate for high impact resistance. The lens for the 4" diameter dial is glass for strength and clarity. The gauge measures pressure with a dual scale of either psi/kPa or Hg. vacuum/kPa. The gauge is accurate to + or - 3/2/3% over the entire range of the gauge, American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B40.100 Grade B accuracy class. The male connection is mounted on the bottom or center back of the gauge and has either a 1/4" NPT (National Pipe Thread) or 1/2" NPT rate. The bourdon tube is phosphor bronze, the movement is brass, and the welding is silver alloy. The over-pressure limit is 25% of full scale value. The working pressure is a maximum of 75% of full scale value. The operating temperature is -40 to 150 degrees F (-40 to 65 degrees C). This pressure gauge is suitable for plumbing, heating, air conditioning, pneumatic, hydraulic, water tanks, and air compressors.Pressure gauges are instruments used to measure the pressure of a gas or liquid inside a vessel and, often, to help ensure the optimal amount of pressure for a given application. Pressure gauges can range from everyday instruments, such as those used to measure the air pressure in a car or bicycle tire, to highly accurate gauges used in mechanical and industrial processing. Most often, pressure gauges measure pressure relative to another reference. For instance, gauge pressure measures pressure relative to ambient air. An example of a pressure gauge measuring relative to ambient air is a tire pressure gauge or a blood pressure gauge. Differential pressure is the difference in pressure between two points, such as when measuring liquid flow along various points in a pipeline. An absolute pressure gauge measures pressure relative to a perfect vacuum, such as an atmospheric or barometric pressure gauge. All types of pressure gauges include either a male or a female mount to connect to the vessel where pressure is being measured, and display results on a dial with varying increments of measure across a given range.Winters Instruments manufactures pressure gauges, thermometers, diaphragm seals, pressure transmitters, and switches. The company, founded in 1953, is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.

  • Compressor PSI Gauge
Style: 0/160 PSI/KPA
Old compressor in my garage. Something broke my ole gauge and I didn't bother to fix initially as the brand is scarce. Perfect fit as it is a common size fitting. Works perfectly and looks much better than a broken one. Same size as original. Very pleased with this purchase.

  • Clear face etches with gasoline, but guage works
Style: 0/15 PSI/KPA
It works and seems accurate, I don't have a secondary way to measure it but it works. I'm using it as a fuel pressure gauge. I took off 1 star because I accidentally spilled some fuel on it when connecting the guage and it etched the clear face to where it is difficult to read the numbers. If I get the face wet(with WD) then I can read through the etched face. ... show more

  • Awesome Gauge!
Very good gauge, going on my 3rd because I can get careless at work and drop or over pressurize. But, for your hard working dollar it's worth it if you take care of it. I use mine from shop air, to a 90 degree valve, to a pressure regulator, then the Winters gauge, to an air chuck. I use this gauge to pressurized and monitor coolant systems on diesel transit coaches. I use this to apply only 16psi or 11psi depending on engine, to find coolant leaks, and to verify repairs. Apply the specified pressure, cut off shop air, monitor gauge, hopefully the needle holds after repairs. Easy peasy. When I break the next one, I'll just buy 2 at a time. Just wish they offered a rubber boot of some sort. ... show more

  • First One Defective...Replacement Is Perfect
Style: 0/100 PSI/KPA
When my first one arrived, it was showing 7 PSI out of the box. I did not even connect it. I contacted Amazon for a replacement. This is being used in an assembly that allows me to air up/down two tires at a time. We do off-roading and the ability to air up/down two tires at a time is a good thing. It also allows me to balance the pressure between the two tires. I also have the ability to check the line pressure with a regular tire gauge (just a back up). I have one electronic and two manual tire gauges that I use. All three of these read exactly the same at 40-65 PSI. The replacement gauge arrived two days later. It was at 0 PSI out of the box. I installed it and started checking...thinking a gauge at this price point would be way off. Actually what I found after testing it with my three tire gauges was impressive. At 40 PSI and below it reads about 1 PSI low. At 50-65 it reads exact to about 1/2 PSI high. I have used high-end, expensive, oil filled gauges that were no where this accurate. Bottom line...I am very pleased with the replacement and glad that I decided to stay with the same brand/seller, etc. Thanks! ... show more

  • Works Great On Hayward Pool Filter
My wife bought a used Hayward pool pump and filter, when I started to set it up I realized that the pressure gauge was broken. A little research showed that a replacement from Hayward was an overpriced piece of junk, so I searched and found the Winters line of gauges. So far it's working great, lets me know when I need to backwash the sand filter when the pressure is reduced. That's what it's supposed to do. ... show more

  • Best preassure guage
To check for the best time to clean your swimming pool filter one needs a accurate preassure guage. I replaced my 10 year old preassure gauge and instatly found out I was getiing wronge readings. The old guage was showing low preassure. I changed this easily and I preciesly know when to clean the filter. The preassure reading keeps going up as the filter keeps getting dirty. A must have change in your pool filter if your guage is more than 2 years old. ... show more

  • Useful Gauge, Speedy Delivery
Being able to order this gauge via Amazon saved me a great deal of bother. I needed it for a school science lab. I live in a rural area, so having it delivered quickly via Amazon saved me a long drive and probably several phone calls. Hooray! The gauge worked well and was just what I needed.
