Description

Troubleshooting recommendation: Use an angled adapter to connect the vacuum gauge directly to the vacuum pump, and perform a vacuum test without the oil filter membrane installed. Ensure all connections are well-sealed, then observe whether the vacuum level can drop below 40 microns within 1 minute. If it does, the vacuum gauge is functioning properly; if not, there may be a leak. To ensure accuracy, it is recommended to repeat the test and keep the testing environment free of moisture. Oil filter membrane: This product is equipped with an oil filter membrane designed to prevent vacuum pump oil mist from entering the vacuum gauge sensor, protecting the device from oil contamination and extending its service life. The oil filter membrane effectively ensures measurement stability during long vacuum evacuation processes. Please note that the oil filter membrane may slightly affect response speed and ultimate vacuum level during short, no-load vacuum tests. If performance comparison tests are needed, it is recommended to temporarily remove the oil filter membrane. Precautions: To ensure accurate vacuum gauge readings, keep all connections tight and sealed. Regularly check and replace the protective oil film. If readings become unstable, inspect and gently clean the sensor with a suitable cleaner. Oil on the sensor or film causes inaccurate measurements. 2700 Pa：The VGW-Mini only starts displaying readings when the vacuum is below 2700 Pa (approx. 27 mbar). If the customer's analog gauge shows 50 mbar (approx. 5000 Pa), the vacuum level hasn't reached the measurable range yet. Recommend continuing evacuation to see if the pressure drops into range. Charging Guidelines: Use a standard 5V/1A adapter. Do not use high-voltage fast chargers (such as 9V/12V PD fast chargers), as this may cause the small lithium-polymer battery to overheat and swell. Why is the vacuum value rising after pumping? The gauge uses a high-sensitivity sensor. Slight leaks in small systems or loose fittings can cause the value to rise. Test with a larger, well-sealed system to confirm. The reading doesn’t stabilize quickly. Why? The oil-proof membrane slows response time. When measuring vacuum below 5 Pa, wait at least 2 minutes for the reading to stabilize before taking the final value. How do I determine if the issue is with the vacuum gauge or the system? Start by ensuring the system has proper sealing. Test again using a larger system volume. If the vacuum value still rises rapidly after ruling out system leaks, then the gauge may require further inspection. Can oil contamination affect the vacuum gauge readings? Yes, oil contamination on the sensor or protective film can interfere with the sensor’s ability to measure vacuum pressure accurately, leading to unstable or incorrect readings. How can I check if the vacuum gauge is contaminated by oil? Remove the protective oil film located at the front connection of the vacuum gauge and inspect it for oil stains. If oil is present, replace the oil film and retest the device.
