Sad to say that it did not work! From time-to-time feedback about some products may seem inaccurate or exaggerated. Unfortunately, those that stated to have received a defective or inoperable Elitech VGW-mini were not incorrect. The kit does not include a needed USB cable. No big deal... I already had a compatible cable anyway. I connected the meter to the T connector that comes with the kit and ran a test. It never got down below 400 microns. I could get down to 60 microns with my other meter. Without going through all the troubleshooting used to isolate the issue, bottom line, the meter itself was not able to hold a vacuum. I submitted a return request, and it is heading back.

The phone app is surprisingly good including the decay graph and leak test. The unit was accurate and reasonably durable. It is an excellent tool as a replacement for my Navtek micron Guage which was disappointing.

I like the product but it didn't take long for oil to get in there and start giving me weird readings. I guess it can be cleaned with mineral spirits but I don't have any at the moment to do that

Looks nice, good packaging. Just wish I was able to use it ... First time I barely pressed the power button to turn it on and it broke off the PCB board inside and is rattling around.. going to see if I can return for one without this defect hopefully and will update Update They honored the warranty and shipped s new device with little to no hassle once shown proof of defect. I will purchase many more products if theirs knowing that they will not leave me hanging. Very respectful people and to ñotch customer service

No matter what I did , I could not get this to hold vacuum. Actually, I thought I had a leak in my linesets / flaring connections for the longest time. But I connected this directly to my pump and it still would not hold vacuum. Which is a shame because otherwise, it seemed to work well, and I was out of the 30 day window to return by the time I got a chance to install my minisplit and use it. I ended up taking the risk that I might have a leak in my system and releasing the refrigerant into the lines anyways , and the only reason I bought this tool was to be extra cautious in the first place , so this is a complete fail by this company to either explain how to make the tool hold vacuum or build something reliable enough that it actually holds vacuum in the first place. Ugh. Wasted 150 or whatever the tool is priced at. Get something better.
