These mittens are so comfortable and warm. They are made really well so I don't think I was have an issue with them lasting. I haven't worn them when it is really wet, but in regular snow they seem waterproof.

I don't have any previous experience to say if these mittens support tough weather conditions. I got these to use while snow-blowing because I couldn't keep my hands warm with regular finger gloves - old age probably. Now, just wearing them without working? They are a little warmer than regular finger gloves but not as much as I'd hoped and wearing a thinner regular glove inside these didn't help. But while working? They definitely keep your fingers' generated heat inside to keep your hands comfortably warm. I don't have big hands but I'm glad I got the X-Large. Even so, pulling them on is a little difficult but then inside my hands would probable best fit a large. No leakage; good protection & functional; they didn't fall apart while shoveling and blowing this winter's snow/ice storm. ... show more

it's a decent mitten for shoveling and basic around town stuff. they are half the thickness of what i have now but i bought xl so i can fit base layer gloves underneath. glad i got them on sale i would NOT depend on them for long snowshoeing treks or skiing.
