This is by far the best red oil paint EVER! It’s bright but, deeply saturated and last so long!! It’s gorgeous and I use it for my small business. It is absolutely worth the price! I never buy up-market earth-tones. The pigment is literally dirt, so any extenders would cost more than the pigment. Highly saturated. Absolutely consistent density, pigment saturation and chroma. Has the slightest translucency so a work horse for underpainting, impasto or tempering glazes. Remember - “buttery” just means extra oil, less pigment and a premium price - you can always add a bit of oil if you like butter! Happy painting. ... show more
