  • The best paints ever
Style: 1.25-oz Tube Color: Oxide of Chromium
My wife is a working artist and she uses Winsor & Newton Artists' Oils exclusively. They're a little expensive so we look around for deals here and there but we do come back to Amazon's sellers. Fantastic products!

  • Good Artist Oil paint
Style: 1.25-oz Tube Color: Lamp Black
I dont use this brand, but I was in a pinch and needed next day amazon. PLeased with this. I would try other colors- texture and feel and mixability are good. Black paint is a big deal in my work so this was important.

  • Looking for...
Style: 1.25-oz Tube Color: Permanent Carmine
A really pink color, this might have potential. This is a good enough brand, except for just some colors are not the greatest. This one seems fine, mixes with an opposing brand of white.

  • Excellent oily consistency, translucent pigment
Style: 6.75-oz Tube Color: Iridescent White
Some colors are more translucent than others, and this is one of the more translucent I have come across. I love the oil binder this company uses. It's slick and easy to lay on the canvas and blend with. As far as being translucent, I can use this and not worry about overpowering the other colors. But, on the flip side, because of its lack of opaqueness, I found it hard to make the translucence really pop. I wanted to try this as an alternative to silver (sometimes silver is too dark) but the silvers I have are much more iridescent. Still, this white definitely has its uses, just a bit less versatile than I hoped. ... show more
