  • They're all right
Color: Essential Colors
These are double-ended dye- and alcohol-based markers; one end offers a wide, flat, angled tip for large areas and the other has a small, hard, pointed tip for detail work. The ink is rich and fairly vibrant. There is very little odor when using these and they have a good weight, though I find them to be a little bulky in the grip. They work really well with ink pens such as Pigma Microns, but not so well with pencil, dragging the graphite across the page in unattractive streaks and smudges. Some colors tend to bleed more than others (this is true of most markers, I don't hold it against these). The prices is OK; you get 13 markers in the package -- 12 colors and a free colorless blender, which simply has alcohol in it. I find the vibrancy of the colors, the streaky-ness and price are not so good as the Bic Marking (aka Mark-It) markers; others will find Copics to be better. I think most of this is subjective, and people will choose a favorite among these based on personal preference. Overall, I feel these Winsor & Newton ProMarkers are a nice addition to my marker supplies and will enrich my drawings. They do perform better on paper designed specifically for markers, and will bleed through most other kinds of paper. You can layer the same color over itself to create value much better than with some other alcohol-based markers. They also can have a nice watercolor-ish look, depending on your technique. Others have complained of receiving dry markers or markers that broke open and leaked inside the package; all of the markers in my set were perfect. ... show more

  • The colors are pretty but I wish it was a brush nib
Color: Skin Tones 1
I just receive the Windsor Newton six skin tones set one today I am only giving a review on what I received and the swatches I did. I have yet to use them for any of my drawings so I will post another review after that but from what I have received I give it four stars, because Iโ€™m a little disappointed in the fact that I thought I was going to get a brush nib instead of a bullet nib. I was really looking forward to having a brush nib thatโ€™s the reason why I bought the set in the first place now in my picture that shows the swatches Iโ€™m also a little upset that the color almond and the satin are very close in tone. This is the first thing from Amazon that I received I wasnโ€™t completely happy with. Iโ€™m not saying the product is bad, like Iโ€™ve said I have yet to use it fully and I like the way it looks the presentation is good I was just mostly upset about the bullet nib. ... show more

  • Excellent markers
Color: Pastel Tones
When it comes to markers, Copics seem to be the standard for comparison. These markers performed just as well as copics in my opinion. I attached a picture for comparison (promarkers on top, copics below). Unlike the copic pastel 6pc set, this set doesn't have any similar shades, meaning that you won't be able to produce a color gradient with the colors given. If that doesn't matter to you, this set has some nice pastel colors that go down smooth and are just a joy to color with. These markers have a bullet nib and a chisel nib. I think chisel nibs on art markers are generally useless (for my purposes anyway), but the bullet nib on these performed surprisingly well. The tips are juicy, not dry like some other markers I've used, and glide across the page. I use paper specifically made for markers and have had no problem using these. At half the price of copics, you really can't go wrong. ... show more

  • Amazing!
Color: Essential Colors 2
The markers arrived perfectly before the delivery time. They all swatched amazingly. I have actually recommended these markers to many of my friends working in personal art and graphic design (thumbnails for design) many times because the product is amazing. I still will continue to recommend these markers, and although the bullet tip and chiesel tip work great, I would recommend to get the brush tip markers the most, since it allows for a more controlled flow of the pigment. Overall, colors are amazing, formula is amazing, product, delivery, order, is amazing. Truly deserves 5/5 stars ... show more

  • Pretty Decent
Color: Essential Colors 2
These are pretty decent markers though I Prefer the vibrant colors and quality of COPICS. I also tried a set of Touch markers which I did not really like as they seemed to leak and pool. I would say that the Promarkers are comparable to Prisma color markers in terms of the ink and output. The ink is not nearly as bright as Copics, and almost more pastel. This would be a great starter set to become acquainted with alcohol markers. ... show more

Color: Skin Tones 1
I took a chance and purchased these because the Copic skin tones markers I had ordered weeks before were not coming any time soon and Amazon could not give me a delivery estimate! I needed skin tone markers for my work so I ordered these though I had no prior experience with them. I am impressed! The colors are realistic skin tones and the lay down is smooth and flawless. They also cost less than half of what the Copic marker set sells for. I would not hesitate to buy these again instead of the more expensive Copic markers. ... show more

  • The price <3
Color: Essential Colors 2
Okay, I'll be honest. I am a broke college student who cannot afford any copic. Yes I have one pack of copic but to be honest, this is a ton cheaper and honestly, I don't notice a differences. The only thing is that copic can change out inks and these can't. But the colour is just as bright as them and they blend well with each other. ... show more
