  • AMAZING WONDERFUL AWESOME
Style: Kitchen Cart
I'm so glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews! My main worry was damage during shipping, but the other reviews said the company's customer service is pretty good so I knew it would be taken care of. I just really didn't want to go through a return process. But anyway that didn't matter, because it arrived fully intact without a dent, crack, or chip. I can't even explain to you how excited I was that this piece ended up working out so well. Basically, I have no counterspace in my apartment's kitchen and the dining room table wouldn't fit so literally there is nowhere to cut things and cook on. I tried a cute set of bamboo-looking wood kitchen carts similar to this (can be seen in background of pictures) but they were so flimsy! If I tried cutting on them they'd shake all over the place. After that, I was nervous about buying anything else online but I couldn't find anything in stores near me! Furniture stores were super expensive and the basic department stores just didn't have anything, even Walmart stopped selling the microwave cart (I thought about just sticking another one in the middle of the kitchen out of desperation). But this kitchen cart surprised me in the best way! It arrived a little late due to weather delays, but still not bad due to the 2 day shipping with prime. It was heavy and a little difficult to get up to my 2nd story Apartment, but do-able with 2 people. Some advice, you DON'T need to pay all that money for the setup, it's really NOT that bad! Get a buddy over, have some drinks, and tackle the task (okay maybe skip the drinks, because you do have to be able to read and pay attention to the directions). Basically, the instructions look a little overwhelming at first because they start with a listing of all the parts. But don't get discouraged! You can do it! You start with it upside down and just keep building it up from there. Flip it over and add the drawer. It doesn't take two people to figure it out, but it's just helpful to have one person hold while the other screws stuff in. It's tall enough to fit a stool under each side and the wood is thick and sturdy. There's plenty of room for baking pans underneath and the drawer is roomy, too. I AM SO GRATEFUL THAT THIS ITEM IS ACTUALLY GREAT AND REALLY WELL PRICED! ... show more

  • Follow my tip for easy assembly.
Style: Kitchen Cart
This turned out to be a quality product. 5 stars. There were no damaged pieces. The packaging problems described in earlier reviews must have been solved. I have some very important assembly hints for you that in my opinion are essential for hastle free work. Assembly is done upside down and the picture instructions are clear. Be sure to do your work on a soft towel or rug so you don't scratch up your top. You must note that the screws are soft Allen style hex lock heads. The Allen key wrench supplied is cheap, but is adeqeate to work if you take a very important first - MUST DO - step. NOTE: The screw heads are not hardened steel and may easily "waller" or strip out during assembly, and the "counter sink holes" are deep. So if you strip a screw head while assembling, you will have a big problem extracting it. You MAY find better luck using a better Allen wrench, but I had best luck, with no stripping, using a tightly fitting Torx (6 pointed star) driver (after I discovered the Allen driver wallered too easily). MUST DO FIRTS STEP - To avoid a half tightened stripped screw head stuck in a counter sunk hole during assembly, take a screw and run it into each "virgin" hole in each wood piece - before assembly. This step will ensure the holes are "threaded" , cleared, and will easily accept a screw without hassel during the assembly process - and without the prospect of wallering or stripping a head inside a counter sunk hole. One person can assemble this, but two people makes it fun. SO REMEMBER, thread and test all holes for easy screwing BEFORE following assembly instructions. You will love it. Also, do not use a drill driver as one reviewer said. That is not a good idea. THIS IS WOOD, not very forgiving. Hand tight everything. When finished, tap gently with a wooden spoon on your little hole plugs so you don't scar them or place them too deep. If they go in too deep, you'll not be able to get them out and it may not look as nice. The caster wheels were a bit hard to insert. Do not force them into the plastic sleave inserts if they don't go right in. They are tight, but it should not be a struggle. You may have to work with them a bit, but do not ruin the plastic insert. It can come out of the wood leg for inspection if needed. ... show more
