My husband, who is a renovation contractor, spent a fair bit of time assembling the new chairs as some of the holes did not quite line up. Fortunately, he knows tricks to make things fit. The chairs match the first 2 perfectly though. On one of the older chairs the bottom rungs slip out of the hole. I will have to get my inhouse handyman to repair that problem. ... show more

I ordered 2 of these to see if it was worth buying more to finish my set. When I started assembling them I noticed it was missing the medium length bolts, but it had extra long bolts. After cutting them down they worked but I wasn’t pleased with having to modify hardware to make the chair work. I decided to bite the bullet and ordered more to finish my set, and was much more impressed with the next chairs, they all had extra hardware and went together very quickly. Had maintenance man assemble it and it was easy---for him! LOL We both sat in them and they held us up. Haven't sat in them for any length of time because the table isn't here yet. The only negative was that when I arrived home, I saw the box was broken open. Don't know if that happened in transit or if delivery person dropped it on the floor outside my apartment. The media could not be loaded. Strong and heavy wood. Made in Malaysia. It took my husband less than one hour to assemble two chairs. Instructions were easy with large clear images. They included exctra bolts for each size. Happy with purchase. We got delivery next day.

These are good solid wood chairs, just what we were looking for. Assembly can be somewhat confusing because there are no written instructions. It is up to the customer to identify the parts and hardware from the pictures and proceed from there. These chairs look very nice and sit comfortably. The main problem with them is the weight limit. There are several people in my family that are close to the 290lb limit and I'm not sure how they will hold up.
