I've read a lot of reviews and was concerned with a few complaints regarding the quality of the trainer, specifically breaking the swing arm, turf coming loose and even drivers breaking at the shaft. I'm still a newbie to golf, and up until the past couple of years, I might have golfed 2 or 3 time a years. Bottom line, I have an erratic driver swing and I'm working on a few bad habits, one which is chopping down on the ball. If someone is going to abuse this trainer, it's me! I have beat the hell out of this trainer, cringing numerous times thinking something should've broke on that swing, including my driver's shaft. Nope, nothing has broken or come loose yet, I've only had to straighten out the connecting swing arm tether a few times. I've been using this trainer every time that I walk by it, and my set-up and swing is so much better. I'm no longer beating the trainer up, it definitely survived a rough period, if it were to break, I know it's on me! If you don't mind dropping a $160, I highly recommend this unit, catch it on a 20% discount sale (right now). BTW, I ordered spare parts with the belief that I would break something, which apparently I don't need, at least not yet. If you have a controlled swing, then you'll only need to buy the spare practice balls (set of 3) every great once in awhile.

Arrived with no hardware for mounting the ball stand. Had to go to local hardware store and get (4) M4 bolts washers and wing nuts. It was just the inconvenience of having to do that, and no recourse so it is what it is. The mat the product mounts on is heavy, I am older so my head speed is fast but not like my sons. I move this thing a good 3" per hit. I put it on a larger mat and that seems to solve the movement problem more. This is great for practicing your set up, back swing, swing plane and all the other basic fundamentals of the golfing swing, it is not for determining swing path or head speed as the ad infers, However it is great for practicing golf ball contact somewhat, because of you miss hit, and hit the hard rubber base, the report from the club to your hand will let you know not to do that again. the reasoning is the base is lifted about 1.75” above ground level, so your swings need to be spot on or choke up, because a miss hit resonates. I like to practice my swing and the other fundamentals listed above, and this seems to lend itself to that function fine, but you could do that with any green mat or no mat whatsoever…. I gave it 3 stars because it did not come with all the necessary stuff to set up and it is a fair product but nothing to get excited about. I bought this for my husband for Father's Day, and he has used it nearly every day since (my son and I use it too!) I really think it has helped all our golf games. Easy setup, doesn't take up much space at all, pretty much stays in our foyer, and we have a couple of clubs tucked in the corner for easy access when anyone wants to take a swing. Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I got this last year for Christmas for my husband on a whim. He is a huge golfer, and I knew he was either gonna love this or hate it. He had never requested it or seen it. This was a complete gamble and it paid off BIG! It is one of his favorite things to do in the backyard by the pool. We store it inside when we’re not using it because the Florida sun will kill it. I just gave it a little vacuum and dust off. We love it. I also ordered an extra ball. Clearly we need to swap them out and don’t judge my slider windows, they need cleaning.

I bought this item as a gift for a friend. By the time he opened the gift, it had passed the return time period and the set was missing an arm to attach to the mat. So he just has a grass mat. Quality control need to be fixed. I would like an arm to be sent to me please.

Although it feels solid, the device is cumbersome. To change ball height takes a screwdriver and wrench. So if you want to switch fr irons to a “tee’d” driver, you, need to bust tools out. It does feel solid, but I don’t believe the feedback is good enough to translate to the course. If you hit behind the ball, you get the same results as flushing the ball. It also doesn’t feel like an actual ball.

I've had this over a year, and it's holding up well. I don't use it regularly, but it's exactly what I need if I don't have time to get to the driving range, and I want the feel of a full swing. I saw a lot of 1 star reviews of folks that had the thing break on them, I think that's possible as an outlier-- maybe swinging too hard. And the guy that broke TWO clubs!? - dude, this is not the trainer for you. Tip: One minor adjustment I make is I choke up on the club because the product is raised about 1.5" above your feet.
