This comes 100% in one piece. No assembly required. ;) I slid this out, and was immediately impressed with the quality. I want another to put on my front porch with a little table in the middle. It folds easily so can be tucked away if desired. It is larger than I expected as well with plenty of "seat" space...and while it isn't the most comfortable (it's bamboo haha)...it still makes for a super sturdy chair. If that is an issue, a chair pad would be a great solution. Personally I love the aesthetic of this, and have it on my covered porch. LOVELY. Out of the box the chair is ready to go, just unfold it. It looks really nice and cool, like its handmade, and the bamboo has a nice shiny coat of something on it, it's not just plain bamboo. The product description says it can hold 330lbs... I seriously doubt that, and also, I tested it out myself as a 260lb person and basically when I put my full weight on it, I can feel the legs spreading apart underneath me, and I'm pretty sure over time I'd destroy the thing. With that said, my brother tested it out, he's more like 220lbs, and he said it was nice and felt like it was supporting his weight fine. The issue or concern I have is in the metal pieces that connect the parts together, they don't seem extremely robust--they are metal but are a bit thin. I don't know for sure how much weight the chair can take and I don't want to risk breaking it. I AM sure that my sister or mom could sit on it, weighing in the range of 150lbs. Also, its bamboo, not memory foam... So, I wouldn't say it's a very 'comfortable' chair, like they mention twice in the description, and I've sat in many other folding chairs, mostly plastic, and some of those are definitely more comfortable. But this sure is the best-looking folding chair I've ever seen or used. For the confusion and doubt about how much weight it can hold, with the thin metal parts that hold it together, I gave it 4 Stars. ... show more

This fantastic chair easily held 200lbs. and the sitter was comfortable the whole time. No creaking when they changed positions. when I first took it out of the box it had a little shellac smell which went away within minutes and hasn't come back. Easy-peasy to fold up and down. I think we'll be using this chair a lot -I'm going to order another one as soon as I finish writing this! ... show more

I ordered this chair to have on hand for when we have extra guests over. It comes fully assembled and opens and closes easily. It seems very solid when you sit on it and the design is great for a patio, or porch, but I don't think it's something to leave out in the rain. My only complaint is that it is a bit uncomfortable, hard on your bottom and the back support tends to dig in a bit. Otherwise it's a nice folding chair that stores in a small space to have on hand as an extra. ... show more

Compared to my metal/plastic IKEA folding chairs this Winlice bamboo/rattan folding chair is an upgrade in appearances. It looks classy in the backyard and parties. BUT, in terms of sitting comfort it's a bit of a downgrade. The bamboo chair is just not comfortable to sit in for more than 10 minutes. The bottom horizontal bar on the backrest just digs into my spine when leaning back. Generic metal and plastic folding chairs are just more "contoured and curved" for sitting comfort. The bamboo and rattan strips need better finishing as well. The bamboo is rough in some areas. And the rattan wrapping is jagged in some spots. For a backyard chair it's perfectly fine if you're just hanging out and wearing t-shirts, shorts, or jeans. But I would be VERY CAREFUL if using these bamboo chairs for a party where guests may be wearing fancy blouses, dresses or suit jackets like a wedding reception or something. Material will easily snag and get ruined on the chair. In this aspect metal and plastic folding chairs are better. 100% smoother finished material. On the plus side, all the joints and hinges are metal. Easy to open. No creaking when sitting down. But I just can't overlook that it's uncomfortable and prone to snag fine clothing. ... show more

Super-nice looking bamboo folding chair. Much nicer than your average folding chair. What I like: **High back is exceptionally comfortable for folding chair **Easily folds and unfolds **Very attractive details. The back, seat and double bamboo leg supports are visually appealing. The Varnish and bamboo wood are rich in color and depth. **Hinges open and close smoothly **Sturdy chair, small profile What could be better: **This chair has splinters and sharp staples under the seat. I actually stabbed one of my fingers on a staple and it drew blood. Not serious but ouch! The fit and finish should be better. I would advise wearing work gloves if you are setting up a whole bunch of these chairs. I haven't had this chair long enough to comment on durability. I think it is too pretty to leave outside. In fact, I'd hesitate to use it outside, especially if the legs were going to sit on grass or dirt. I'm using my chair as a small accessory chair in guest bedroom. Will also use it as an extra place at the dining room table when needed. It is sturdy yet small in profile. Easy to add one more guest at a dinner table with this pretty bamboo chair.
