    • WINGS in flight, and soaring ...
This double-disc, lavishly annotated and packaged Wings compilation makes the case for what a fine, if underrated by pop music critics of the day, unit Paul put together after the break-up of his other band. The Beatles cast an immense shadow, and it took a whole lot of artistic courage to introduce a new group so quickly on the heels of the Beatles' very public demise. Paul forged ahead with the concept anyway, and Wings turned out to be not only a veritable hit-making singles and albums machine, but an artistically satisfying endeavor for its founding member, as well. Beautifully packaged and featuring amazing, remastered sound, this is THE WINGS' COLLECTION all others will be compared with. However, there are two MIA live-in-concert tracks that definitely belong here but were somehow overlooked: Maybe I'm Amazed and Coming Up. Both of them originally recorded and released on Macca solo LPs, both Wings' concert staples. But for those two omissions, WINGS Deluxe is the perfection compilation, imho anyway. ... show more

    • The Very Best Of Wings
You want a really great Wings compilation? Then look no further! This one has all of the hits and other well known tracks of Paul McCartney's post-Beatles band. This collection beats out Wings Greatest because this is strictly a real Wings collection from the title song of Wild Life to "Goodnight Tonight". Even though Linda McCartney and Denny Laine are no longer with us, they along with Paul were the faithful three from the very beginning to the very end having gone through numerous line-up changes[Three lead guitarists, two of whom with the surname McCulloch, no relation, and four drummers]. Interesting to note is the inclusion of a reggae-flavored "Love Is Strange" from Wild Life. Also featured is the studio version of "Soily"[from One Hand Clapping]. All of your Wings favorites are here on this deluxe edition and, believe me, it's well worth it! ... show more

    • A Greatest Hits that Is More Than Singles
This two volume CD includes all of the hit singles of Wings in addition to album tracks that were popular but never released as singles. According to Billboard and Cashbox Magazine, McCartney and his group Wings had more number one singles than any other group except The Bee Gees. Some publications have disqualified a couple of the Bee Gees number one singles due to the fact that the sales were allegedly manipulated to drive them up the charts. Nonetheless, Wings was one of the most successful recording and concert artists of the 1970’s. When listening to any of McCartney’s greatest hits albums, it is amazing how many great songs he has written and recorded. This album is an excellent purchase and the price is reasonable. ... show more

    • Good cd if you are a Wings fan
Im a huge Beatles fan. This cd made me realize that if not for the Beatles fame, Paul McCartney is Phil Collins (Phil has the better hits) If you like Wings and don't have all their cd's this is a must have.

    • Super Pleased!
Excellent Audio Quality. I'm a reissue remaster nut job. Music has been number one with me my whole life. I can honestly state that this is definitely one of the best remasters I have listened to in a good while. It's not cheaply and quickly brick wall compressed and limited. It has that true analog feel minus the low end thud attacks so common place with less than ideal original recordings. This is to state that whoever did this did so with the notion of wanting it to bear their name. The talent exhibited in these recordings is nothing short of world class. Combined with the second to very few song writing craft that McCartney invested in his second time around touring band career it's certain to please. Recommended! ... show more
