I desperately needed a new umbrella for work. I had the hardest time with my last one which was quite embarrassing because as soon as I got into my work building I wasn't able to put the old one down so I bought this. The reflection is great for walking in place with high traffic. It's very easy to open and close so no more embarrassing moments at work. It's quite sturdy especially where I work which can get windy along with being rainy and it's also a decent width. Overall this is a Great umbrella and I am happy I bought it. Will be buying more as gifts.

I have been using this since the beginning of the year, I love how small it folds up. Be careful when opening this because when you push that button, it opens quickly! I have had to use it on some VERY windy days and it hasn't let me down. Like so windy that it was hard to keep it above me with one hand, I had to hold it up closer to the top because I was carrying a bag and only had one hand. When you are ready to close it, push the button and it'll fold right up. Push the handle straight into the top, compressing the collapsible post. This loads the spring so it is ready to deploy next time. Let the water evaporate off before putting the cover on, to prevent mold. The handle has a wrist strap, I will tie the cover around that strap so I keep the 2 together. Overall this is a well made umbrella that has been tested and works great!

The Cilnos Windproof Travel Umbrella is compact and lightweight. It measures 12.5” when closed and weighs about 1 pound. It has a storage case to use when it’s closed. I read one review that stated the case could be bigger so that it would be easier to put the umbrella back in however I had no problems putting the umbrella back into it. It took me a couple of seconds and done. All you have to do is rotate the umbrella tight and then insert it into the case. I got the black/gray umbrella. It has a 12 months warranty. The best feature I like about this compact and lightweight umbrella is that it has a button to automatically open and close it. With the press of the button it opens and then press it again and it closes. You can open and close it with one hand and this is great especially if you are holding bags of grocery with your other hand. You can keep it in your backpack, school bag, briefcase or car and it will take up minimal space. It has a double canopy design to provide more stability against strong wind currents. There are 9 fiberglass ribs to better prevent against inversion. Which we all dislike and in most cases have happened to us at one time or another and in some cases destroyed our umbrella too. In addition it has reflective stripes which provide for more visible safety during nighttime usage.

This travel umbrella is difficult to close. The fabric is thin & I could see light through it. I tossed the cover because it was hard to slide the umbrella back into it. The reflective trim is a good feature for safety & design. I threw it in my car to have as a spare umbrella. The manufacturer could do better.

I love this umbrella! The 9 ribs as opposed to the typical 6 ribs makes such a big difference in the canopy size. My other 6-rib umbrella's canopy is 38" wide when measured across with ribs on both sides, but if you measure the diameter in between two ribs, the canopy diameter drops to 33.5", which makes it almost impossible to share without one or both people getting wet. This 9-rib umbrella is 40" across at the narrowest point! Despite having a much more ample canopy, it is only barely less compact than my 6-rib umbrella. When folded, my 6-rib is 11" long and 2-3" wide (it's a bit flatted when folded) and this 9-rib umbrella is 12.5" long when folded and 2.5-3" wide. This umbrella also weighs less than a pound (15.5oz) so it's not tiring to hold up. I like how it has a reflective strip around the edge, which can help keep you safe when walking in the rain at night. We don't get rains with heavy winds in Southern California, so I can't speak to how well the venting helps in those situations, but I know they help in general. Very, very happy with this umbrella!
