This book was to help me move from Windows 7 to Windows 10. It really wasn't much help because I wasn't interested in all the business applications ...just one old lady looking to make a dreaded change. When I found answers to some of my questions, followed the instructions in the book, then would often find that that particular instruction wasn't valid any more. Other 'dummies' may not have my concerns and it could be a very good tool to work with. ... show more

I bought this as a gift to a friend that is a -negative geek re the computer and he purchased a new computer that had Windows 10. Having barely able to use Windows 7, Windows 10 was like a new foreign language to him. He is finding the Dummies book very helpful and answering many questions. Will it move him out of -negative geek, only time will tell, but the fact that he is reading it is a great sign. The best I can say- "How can it hurt"!!!! ... show more
