  • Very easy to understand.
First of all, I am not computer savvy in the slightest. I had lost all this information on my computer and had no idea how to retrieve it. I almost gave up trying to find it, but I bought this book. I literally figured it out in minutes it seemed. Since then I know just about everything about my computer. Lifesaver! ... show more

  • Try It, You'll Like IT
I had never been a `fan of the "DUMMIES" books. I had attempted to use them before and found they were hard to read and harder to use as a reference. "WINDOWS 10 for Dummies" (W10D) is the complete opposite. W10D was bought at the insistence of a good friend after having difficulty working with WIN10 during the set-up of a new desktop computer. I have finally learned how simple it is to have two screens side-by-side on my monitor. Something I had tried to do for years on at least 6 previous desktops. That is just one example of the minor items I have learned to conquer after they had become such problems for me. Thank you "WINDOWS 10 for Dummies" ... show more

  • excellent overview
Before I worked in tech 2022, I hadn’t seen windows since windows XP (I had never seen vista, seven, eight, eight dot one) now that I work in tech I see it everyday and needed to know how to navigate it in its basics. I feel like I’m caught up now.

  • ALWAYS START WITH THE BASICS
This book provides a basic introduction to working with WINDOWS 10 which is a lot different from previous WINDOW versions. The content is adequate to get started and stay out of trouble, but as the author points out, WINDOWS 10 is a very dynamic operating system and subject to frequent updates, not all of which might be covered in his book. For this reason when purchasing a used book, I strongly advise checking to see if this is the most recent edition. ... show more

  • Are you new to Windows 10? Then get this book
So I bought the bullet and switched over to windows 10. I’m very happy I bought this book because my new computer didn’t come with any type of set up manual and I’m pissed at DELL because of this. This book took me through the set up process and actually explained to me what the ONE DRIVE was all about. I’m really glad about this because I would have had a lot of headaches without it. I’ve been a Microsoft and Apple user for years but just simply haven’t kept up because everything was simply intuitive. I’m an older guy and hav been using Apple products since the very late 70’s. Then using some microsoft stuff (because of Word and Power Point) for years. Windows 10 is very different from the “old days” where everything was intuitive. This book has saved my butt on more than one occasion. If you are new to Windows 10 then this book is for you and me and everybody else. ... show more
