  • Since 2018
Size: 12x Quarts
I use their pots with 98% of my houseplants. I use their SOIL 100% in all types of pots. I mix the soil with a couple of scoops of earthworm poop. (Found on Amazon) The water also contains a liquid fertilizer that is safe to use with each watering. A water stick is a must to determine dryness. So far, this system works great. My plants are thriving. The surface of THEIR pots is ideal for napkins and Mod Podge if you're into crafting them into your style. ... show more

  • Missing one
Size: 12x Quarts
Been using these bagged soil squares for years to grow cat grass and sprouts. I always order the box of 10. This time the box has 9. Quality control, Window Garden. Haste makes waste. These work good for growing cat grass. 2-3 days to sprout. The individual bags mean less mess to clean up. I like to have two fresh pots of cat grass at all times, and one pot of seeds waiting to grow. This means I go through 10 soil squares quickly. And 9 is not 10. One star off for shorting me. One star off for the inconvenience of having to walk to UPS store in 100 degree heat to return it. ... show more

  • Great deal, you get ALOT of product!
Size: 12x Quarts
I bought this because it was way cheaper and a better deal than the organic coconut soil I buy for growing cat grass. If you’ve ever grown grass for your cat indoors, you know that it’s a constant process. You grow it, it takes about 3-4 days to grow, it lasts only about a week or two, then it dies, then you have to grow it again. If you are not a cat person, just know, we are not crazy. Indoor cats LOVE nibbling on grass. If you have bought the coconut soil discs that are specifically for cat grass, you know it’s very good, but pricy. These discs are about twice the size of the mini soil discs you get with the other company. In one of my pics you can see the box comparison. I was planning on cutting these soil discs in quarters because they are so much bigger, and just using a little at a time. But they are rock solid and impossible to cut. So I had to just moisten the whole thing at once. They give you 1 plastic bag inside to do this. Super simple. Just add warm water and watch it grow. I was left with WAY too much soil than I needed, so I put the rest in the freezer in the bag and took out more as needed. I put the excess moistened soil in the freezer because otherwise I figured it would grow mold inside the bag. Seemed to work perfectly freezing it and thawing it later. Very good product and very good deal. It does make a mess, but since it’s made from coconut shells and it’s not really dirt, I don’t worry about it getting all over the counter. I would recommend these to everyone. Whether you’re growing cat grass or something else, this is a very good product. ... show more

  • Pricey substrate
Size: 12x Quarts
I mean, it is what it says it is. I got this as opposed to a bag of potting soil because it just seemed more logical shipping-wise. When it got here, I was surprised at how small the discs were. Especially when I went to hydrate them. I've owned a great deal of reptiles in the past. This stuff is legit the same as the bricks of dehydrated substrate that you get to rehydrate and put in the bottom of reptile tanks (as opposed to other types of substrate--this is more healthy for them). Zoo Med sells a brick for 4 bucks that makes 8 liters. So I would get 24 liters of soil for the price of 12 liters with this stuff. If you're doing tiny starter plants, go for it. I was trying to re-pot some larger plants into larger pots. I was barely able to fill one pot with this stuff, so for my situation it doesn't make sense to spend $12+ on soil per plant. On another note, the customer service is great! One of my discs didn't expand at all, and they sent me 3 more discs to make up for it. Even then, however, the pot isn't full lol. ... show more
