We bought two of these. But, unfortunately, the battery compartment doesn’t close or seal tightly so water is allowed in. This is an issue with both units.

This thing is so cool! Take it out and let it pull you around underwater! If you are a diver, or just like to snorkel on occasion, this is for you. It'll help you get around very quickly, and the maneuverability is amazing. A couple things: 1. If you plan to use this for an extended duration, get a second battery. The battery lasts for about 30 min, so a second battery can be very useful. 2. Clean and dry the thing as directed. Rinse it off after use, especially when used in salt water (I recommend rinsing after use in chlorinated water as well), then allow to air dry before storing it. When storing, store it a dry location. There are a lot of complaints about the motors rusting; of course they are going to rust if you don't dry them, especially if you are in salt. I've had mine for about 9 months now and I haven't had any issues with it. It's been stored for the last 4 months, and I took it out yesterday without issue... runs like it's new!

I purchased this product about 3 weeks ago. My family has used it twice. The battery that was included with the unit is already malfunctioning. Luckily I purchased a second battery, so we were able to use the product. The battery that was included with the scooter shows as "green" on the charger, but when it's placed in the scooter, it's only charged to a 3 (of 5) or less. We can't get it to work correctly. 4 stars because the scooter is awesome - just be prepared to purchase additional batteries at a significant cost.

La fuerza de arrested es muy buena para personas abajo de las 200 libras, para un adults la bateria no dura 1 hora como lo dicen , yo creo va en proporcion con el peso del usually, otra cosa que no me gustó es que al abrir el compartimiento de la bateria se puede appreciarse que entra agua y eso puede ser malo. I bought this underwater scooter as a last minute gift for my kids. I did a lot of reading about these products and was not really sure what to expect. Now, after personally using the scooter (wasn't my initial plan) and watching the kids use it for days on end, I can say that this was a great purchase. A few things to mention for those interested in buying one of these: - They are really quite powerful. The more you can submerge in the water, the more effective they are. If you keep you head above water, then they do drag. - The battery lasted about 30 minutes for me (just under 200 pounds) and around 45 minutes for the kids. So, your mileage may vary :) - The battery snuggly installs so even though the lower battery cover feels like it will open easily, it doesn't have any impact on the scooter itself. - The batteries charge pretty fast after they are initially charged. We used the scooter every day for 10 days straight and it took about 1.5 to 2 hours to fully charge the battery at the end of the day. - You have to "rinse" the scooters propeller units (individually - I used a bucket) for 20+ minutes after using them. This just becomes part of the maintenance of the scooter post use and also serves to clean it up if it is sandy, etc. We used it in the ocean so it definitely served to rinse off the salt water. - Be prepared to have people ask you what it is :) I must have answered that question 20+ times as the kids came out of the water.
