    • Miniature commercial tongs
They are very well made, exactly as good as commercial tongs, thick and heavy, no issues with construction! I do own a tape measure and did know how big they were when I ordered, wanted a compact tool because my needs are simple That said, the geometry of it's bigger brother @ 9" is perfect for it's size, when you shrink the length down to the 7" here, it becomes a different animal, you need to grab most of it's length in order to close it with any force, so you end up with your fingers a few inches from your hot pot/pan Additionally, the 9" variant has more room between the flanges on the back side of each tong, so a sponge easily squeezes between them when washing, these 7" tongs have too little room for a sponge to fit, so they won't get technically as clean as I'd like each time I still gave them 5 stars because they are as-advertised and very well made, definite keepers! For cold applications, they're perfect! You'd beat anyone to the punch in the buffet line with inferior tongs, easily!! ... show more

Nice and solid feeling. So many in the local stores felt thin and flimsy. The only reason I gave four stars was because they are lacking a closing mechanism to allow them to fit in drawer better.

Good thick quality metal and spring action. Not sure how we lived without these growing up. Only after I worked in a camp kitchen did I realize how multipurpose these are. This sturdy tong is a good fit for a medium hand. It’s not “tinny”. The spring is strong and I like that it stays open rather than having a piece that locks it shut. I’d buy it again over others should I need a second tool.
