    • Very long! (Bought for Dog's safety when bathing him; need two for a large dog)
I purchased this because I needed a longer mat which my 70-lb dog could stand on completely (i.e. no paws on slick tub surface). Works well as to length (he's never off the mat at front or back ends of tub). However, I'm going to buy a second one because if I sit on the side of the tub with feet inside the tub, he ends up standing closer to the wall side. Therefore I have to move the mat closer to and curving about 2 inches up the wall side so that he is still standing on the mat (it's not wide enough to cover the whole tub bottom even if centered in the tub). When I do that, part of the bottom of the tub (on opposite side from where he's standing, i.e. where my feet are) is not covered by the mat. When my dog steps closer to me, he can easily slip if paws are wet or soapy. It's a very sturdy product, with minimal chemical smell which went away after airing it out overnight in the garage. Cute and sticks well to the tub floor but it is very very susceptible to mold. We tried a bunch of strategies to help avoid it but didn’t have any luck. Also rather challenging to clean the mold out since it gets stuck around the suction cups

    • Does the job
For awhile there I was taking showers standing on the bare tub surface. Don't recommend that. I had a few episodes where I slipped or lost my balance. Fortunately, I was able to stay upright but they scared me so I bought this mat. I feel quite safe on it. It does what it is supposed. As far as washing, I recently took it out. There was a good bit of dirt on the tub floor with a pattern that apparently corresponds to the drainage holes in the mat. No big deal cleaning it up. As for the mat, I don't see the need for machine washing it. I just flipped it over and doused it with my favorite DIY cleaner then turned the shower on and rinsed it well. ... show more
