When I ordered this item the headline said mildew resistant. About 3 months in it started forming mold and it’s very difficult to scrub off. I have to do this weekly now and it’s a huge hassle. Now the item says machine washable which wasn’t there when I bought it but I will try that. Otherwise, it serves its purpose as a non slip mat for my toddler in the bath.

I purchased this because I needed a longer mat which my 70-lb dog could stand on completely (i.e. no paws on slick tub surface). Works well as to length (he's never off the mat at front or back ends of tub). However, I'm going to buy a second one because if I sit on the side of the tub with feet inside the tub, he ends up standing closer to the wall side. Therefore I have to move the mat closer to and curving about 2 inches up the wall side so that he is still standing on the mat (it's not wide enough to cover the whole tub bottom even if centered in the tub). When I do that, part of the bottom of the tub (on opposite side from where he's standing, i.e. where my feet are) is not covered by the mat. When my dog steps closer to me, he can easily slip if paws are wet or soapy. It's a very sturdy product, with minimal chemical smell which went away after airing it out overnight in the garage. Very pleased with quality!
