Do yourself a favor and buy this pan! I bought this to make breakfast sandwiches and it's great. The eggs cook up well and if your doing biscuit breakfast sandwiches bake the biscuits first in this pan they will match the size of your egg! Cookies are great in this too! It will be great for the holidays to place different cookie decorations in for the kiddos to choose from when decorating the Christmas cookies. I haven't made any muffin tops in it yet but I have no doubts it will work great. Anyone complaining of food sticking to it or it being hard to clean I ask did you spray it first? This pan is great! I use it to make Kodiak pancakes (like an McGriddle) and eggs for homemade breakfast sandwiches. Nonstick and great results every time. It has held up for years. Great quality. Cleans easily with soap and light sponge.

I have been eyeballing this pan wondering if I could justify a need for it. Now I’m just regretting not buying it sooner. I can make breakfast sandwiches for the week and ahead for the month in a matter of minutes. You can easily make veggie Pattie’s, fritters, and bake small pancakes. I am a big cook - I have the pancake pans, the muffin tins, and I’ve just been using a 9x13 and making baked eggs for sandwiches that way - but here you can get a better result, correctly calculate your portions and calories, and make a wider variety of food in a sturdier pan. I bought this "shallow" muffin pan with the intent that I would use it to bake my eggs in and it works. How I Use The Pan: I'm semi-health conscious and also semi-lazy. So I buy organic pasture raised eggs and batch cook the whole dozen in this pan. Even though the pan is non-stick I still coat each baking cup with butter. I then crack in 1 egg into each cup. I then season each egg with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Then I break the yolks with a knife or something, to give a more even cook to them. I then bake them at 350 degrees for 13 minutes and they come out perfect every time. Eggs stay good in the fridge for up-to 5 days (according to the internet) The Positives: - The pan is non-stick. - The pan is shallow and allows for me to get that perfect round egg, like from a fast food restaurant. - The pan is semi-easy to clean because it is non-stick. The negatives: - The pan is easily scratched, like the "non-stick" coating comes off too easily for my liking. This make me think that it won't last terribly long or that potentially some of the non-stick coating is getting into my food. I have no way to prove it is or isn't but it's just how I perceive it. If it wasn't for the non-stick coating easily coming off, I would give this 5 stars! ... show more

I ordered this muffin top pan because I couldn't find one anywhere in a store. I read the negative reviews about the pans sticking to the baked goods. It's funny that in an imperfect world people still expect perfection. Anyone who bakes regularly knows there is no pan that is 100% non stick, no matter what is advertised. I decided to do a little extra prep to avoid problems. It was extra work, but it was worth the results. First, I used coconut oil to grease the bottom and sides of the wells. I also used a little around to top edges of each well. I cut rounds out of parchment to fit the wells. The coconut oil helped keep the parchment in place. I made blueberry muffin tops and they came out beautifully. If you plan to use your pan frequently you may want to cut out the parchment rounds ahead of time to have them on hand. I let the muffin tops cool in the pan for 5-7 minutes then removed them. Nothing at all stuck to the pan. There was some blueberry juice in some of the wells. I simply washed the pan with hot soapy water. It doesn't even look like the pan has been used. It is well worth the little bit of extra prep time to have a positive finish. ... show more

While you can find other muffin top pans that are slightly larger/wider, this one is perfect as it retains the original width of a standard muffin tin, just changes the depth (to 1/2) therefore when you go to make up a recipe, you can take and use that ratio to help you use standard recipes. So for a 12 standard muffin recipe, you can cut it in half to make one pan of these muffin tops. I love it for that reason - no weird calculations or guesses as to how a recipe translates. Also, for baking, I've found most muffin recipes will bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes in this pan. Keep in mind it is a darker pan, so in general recommmendations dictate that you lower oven temp by 25 degrees and baking time slightly from recipe recommendations. For those wondering making hamburger buns in this pan, I wouldn't recommend this pan for that.....it's just too shallow. I use USA pans USA Pans Mini Round Cake Panel Pan, 6 Wells for that, and they work out perfectly. Ironically I tried that same pan for muffin tops and found it was too deep to do them the way I wanted (although it would make fantastic mini-pies or cakes) so I turned here to buy a "muffin top" pan. ... show more

I've literally been searching for this pan my entire adult life. I use it to make breakfast sandwiches (egg rings and sausage patties) as well as sliders. Wilton should rename this thing, quite frankly. The whole point of a muffin top is that it spills over the top of a normal muffin tin, creating a different textured mass of goodness that has little direct contact with the pan itself. Cooking muffin "tops" in it doesn't make any sense to me. However, in Wiltons attempts to play God whilst flirting with baking heresy, they stumbled upon something truly extraordinary. Buy yourself a pack of six English muffins, crack an egg into six of the wells and line bulk breakfast sausage into the others. In 15 minutes you have 6 perfect breakfast sandwiches for zero effort. For sliders, just lightly pack the wells with seasoned beef. The magic acts through the concave wells, which provide a natural recess in the center, resulting in a perfectly round, perfectly flat patty, every time. The concave wells also produce ideally sized egg rings that won't stick, whereas a normal muffin pan will yield rings that are too small, too thick, and don't have a chance in hell of coming out without tearing.
