I am so glad that I finally bought this. I figured it was probably a needless "gimmick" that wouldn't work... however, I have to say that It saved me so much time last night. It worked perfectly. (Remember candy melts don't "look" melted until you stir them. And you must stir them a lot. Patience is required!) Once melted, the candy coating stayed at the perfect temperature until I was finished with my project. In fact, I was even able to multi-task with a double boiler on the stove melting chocolate to dip cookies while I was waiting for my cake pops batches to set up in the fridge and freezer... and all the while, my candy melts remained at perfect temp waiting for my next round of dipping. My only complaint is that I only have 1 silicone pot! I've just ordered 2 of the pots with the dividers, hopefully they will sell the original pot insert, as well. Cheaply made? I mean it's a silicone bowl fitted with a plastic ring and handle. So, yeah, be gentle when you clean and store it, or it's obviously going to get damaged. Plastic could easily crack, and I'm sure you could pop the bowl out of it's groove if you tug too hard. The upside is that it's super light weight and easy to clean. I also finally ordered Paramount Crystals to use to adjust the consistency of my candy melts (I've been using coconut oil) and, again, holy crap. The Paramount Crystals worked like a charm. Perfectly smooth. No lumps. And, the Wilton Warmer did it's job. I made 50 cake pops last night, decorated with 3 different candy melt colors, in probably half the time it normally takes (with microwaving and re-microwaving) AND without the risk of over heating (lumps or seized-up coating) ! I don't even care of it breaks next week. It's already been worth $20. However, I have high hopes this little guy will be around for a while. ... show more

Great starter for beginners in candy making. Easy! Safe! Our first attempt in making chocolate covered potato chips and this little silicone pot did a great job! It's not the fastest melter, but very consistent in keeping it at a perfect temperature throughout the entire process once it does get melted. Also felt very safe and did not require constant stirring. Silicone didn't affect the taste of the chocolate. Easy to handwash. Can hold about a pound of wafers or a little more perhaps. ... show more

This works GREAT using regular grocery-store baking-aisle chocolate-chips. I was worried special "melting wafers" would be required, but no, regular Toll House/Kroger and Ghirardelli chocolate works just fine! I've used both semi-sweet and white chocolate chips. As per the directions, it does take about 20 minutes to melt a pot-full of it, so plan your timeline accordingly, but it keeps it melted without issue and is really easy to work with and clean. I love the plastic insert -> it makes it so much easier to clean. Popping off the residual chocolate is just as easy as it's advertised. I can't speak to the lifespan, but I imagine it's pretty simple electronics and should last a long while. I'll come back and update this if it breaks/burns out in the near future. In summary: If you occasionally play with melting chocolate, dipping or drizzling, THIS IS GREAT. My biggest regret with this, is that I didn't buy it sooner. ... show more

They do exactly what they supposed to do the milk chocolate and they’re easy to clean most the time. I use the second heat option because it makes the chocolate a little more moist and it also wants it faster although for me who makes and molds chocolate, I would like it to get hotter closer to 90° so it makes the chocolate completely liquid, but I’ve used these for over a year so I think it’s good overall ... show more

I ordered this great little melting pot last night and it was delivered at 5am this morning. I have been a candy melt melting fool since 6:30 this morning. It melted the Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers so quickly and smoothly (picture is from before they were completely melted). It melted all of the chocolate I used perfectly. I loved the warming feature that kept the chocolate warm and easy to work with. I was able to dip the pretzels into the chocolate and then use the rest of it by pouring the chocolate into a piping bag. All without spilling any chocolate or making a mess. I am so glad that I gifted myself with this little item. I can't wait to use it for chocolate dipped strawberries! Yum!! One more thing. For the first batch I followed the instructions that came with it for cleaning and it was very difficult and time consuming. I Googled a better way to clean the insert and thankfully found a wonderful woman that suggested to just leave the chocolate on warm and pour out excess and then wipe out the rest as much as I could with a wet cloth/paper towel and then wash as usual. Since silicone takes on fragrances of dish soap I will only use a fragrance free product on the insert. I hope to get years of use out of this. ... show more

Newbie to melting chocolate here and honestly I wasn’t sure if spending $50 was worth it as I can always microwave the chocolate to melt it, right? I did go ahead and bite the bullet and why a game changer. Turn this guy in, put in chopped up almond bark or wafers and you are set! So much easier than microwave, stir, microwave, stir… you get my drift. This is more like turn it on, put I. Product and go wok on something else. Come back, stir, and do a little quick something else. Repeat as needed but you’re always able to be working. Easy cleanup too. Well worth the funds for the one! ... show more
