  • Perfect for Tall Golfers!
Size: Long Hand Orientation: Right
I'd give these 10 stars if I could! I'm a beginner golfer who started with a mix matched set of clubs I got for $100. This was a serious upgrade for me and worth every penny (wait, no more pennies, right?). Anyway they're so light weight and well-balanced. They seem quite durable and being 6'3, having tall clubs is a good for me. The distance is way better than my old clubs. My golf group was pleasantly surprised. I went from being the worst player to middle of the road so less embarrassment for me. I like the look, fit, and they're perfect for beginners. The only mild crticism I have is the driver is wobbly but based on my research that's normal for this price point. ... show more

  • Great value and decent quality
Size: Long Hand Orientation: Right
TL;DR: a great bang for your buck set. Decent construction and East clubs to play, bag is nice too. Long review version: I am VERY amateur and every set I owned has been hand me down. So, take my review with a grain of salt. Length: This is my first set for myself, and until now I was unaware extended length clubs were even a thing. I am 6’3” with long arms so I can play either regular or long clubs based on height/ finger to floor measurement. I got the long clubs and it’s a much more comfortable stance for me. I am definitely adjusting to having a longer club but it feels more natural. I almost made par a couple times my first outing with these (usually a triple bogey kind of guy...) The clubs: The grips on all clubs are nice. They stick well to the hand and are comfortable. drivers feel a bit cheap and won’t win any style awards, but they function just fine. Although they will likely be my first replacement down the road, I am very happy with them. I am able to consistently drive just as far with these as I was with Calloway hand me downs. My drive isn’t anything to write home about, but I figure if I’m as consistent with these they’re ok for now. The 5 hybrid has a HEAVY club head, but it’s easy to swing and shoots true. Because of that heavy head, the ball will take off with good contact. I’m a huge fan of the club. The irons themselves are pretty well made and again, easy to shoot. Irons were always my weak point but I do pretty well with these, so I like them a lot all through the wedges. The putter is my favorite. Everyone is finicky about putters so it’s hard to make a call for you, but I think it will be the last thing I replace. It’s got a good weight and feel and is easy to line up. The bag is nice. It’s light weight, the shoulder straps are airy and comfortable so you won’t get huge sweat marks, and the pockets are big. It’s got the stand, but fits and sits just fine in a cart. Overall these are a great value. They’re not only a good starter set but the irons make a decent “base” to build your set around (again, in my very amateur opinion). ... show more

  • Worth The Cost
Size: Long Hand Orientation: Right
Very nice clubs I am a beginner but looking to advance and the clubs are all easy to swing and hit. Definitely worth the cost if you are just getting into the sport, especially if you are a taller person with the tall option. Bag isn’t the best but definitely gets the job done materials are just a little thin but hasn’t been a problem. ... show more

  • Heads didn't come off clubs. Tall set
Size: Long Hand Orientation: Right
After driving a few times few hundred balls total and playing a few rounds they're good. Im 6'1. Driver could be longer, and got a few dents easy, probably from topping, not on the face obviously. Set is a good weight. Irons and hybrid are a good. Some people said the bag feels cheap. I think it's great, but maybe some people use them as a pillow on the course? Stand is good, handles too. Lots of pockets, other than that it looks good and the clubs fit in it. Always a positive. It won't make you a better golfer or I'd give them 6 stars. ... show more

  • Great beginners set
Size: Long Hand Orientation: Right
This Wilson set provides amazing value for the price. It is a very decent set which is more than enough to get started playing golf, develop skills and grow the love for the game before graduating to more serious (and pricey) clubs based on your needs and preferences. This set is by no means luxurious or high end, but it is well built, balanced and gets the job done. It offers everything you need to play many rounds of golf and build your game. The bag is likely the weakest part of this set, it is not terrible but it does feel a little cheap, though it does the trick. I spent some time evaluating the different options of sets at similar price points before going for this one, and the fact that tilted the balance was the ability to get this set in "tall" which suits me better as I am 6'3". That being said, after having this set for a couple of months and playing about a dozen rounds I feel very good about my selection. ... show more

  • Let's the Wilson name down........
Size: Long Hand Orientation: Right
First off, unboxing and unwrapping the clubs I had an inkling they were used and returned. They had water spots on the shafts and some of the club faces had scratches. The bag itself is not that great, the shoulder straps are very thin and uncomfortable. The bag does not have a cooler pouch, and you need the adjust all the clubs every time you add one to the bag because the separation is only at the top of the bag. The bag itself feels pretty cheap and thin and I feel it will rip open on me at any moment. On to the clubs! I played a round with these clubs and hit the range before and after the round. The clubs themselves look and feel nice in your hands. The grips will need to be replaced if you keep this set. They hit ok, no clubs broke or bent like the other reviews but, there were times when I thought I snapped the heads off. This set should not be labeled for men, this is something for beginner kids/teens/seniors. Anyone with some strength is going to snap or bend something. I really do appreciate the tall option as I am over 6 feet tall. Overall I am going to return these and keep searching for something better. ... show more

  • Early impressions
Size: Long Hand Orientation: Right
I haven’t hit with them yet. And being basically a beginner (I haven’t golfed in 26 years), doing so wouldn’t tell you much anyway. But here are my first impressions: 1) The bag is stiff, in a good way. I expected it to be sloppy and floppy. The internal support bars are thin and look fragile. It doesn’t look like it will take much abuse, but I like to care of my stuff. 2) The tripod leg system is kind of weird, but it is effective. A pivoting foot is connected to the legs, so it ends up with a angled foot when deployed (improves stability). Plastic foot, thin metal but I think proper for the price point. 3) The clubs are extremely light (as compared to the metal shafts of 25-40 years ago). Most of the weight is on the heads where it belongs. 4) The 1W and Fairway Wood shafts are very flexible. The 1W flexes 2 3/8” (probably more). I’m sure that translates to more power (potential energy and all that). I just hope it doesn’t amplify mistakes too. 5) The grips are very sticky (again, in a good way). I have arthritis in my fingers and was worried that I wouldn’t have enough control. I now feel like that won’t be problem. 6) The grips come with several curved lines. These help you locate your hands/fingers for a proper hold. There is also a notch and a dot to help hold the club with the Leading Edge straight. I eyeballed all of the clubs and they align out of the box. That’s something I will have to keep an eye on in case the grips twist with use. 7) 3 head covers for the Woods. Same material as the bag; uses elastic to stay on heads. 8) Putter is heavy (feels like heaviest club overall). The face is flat, no warp corner-to-corner. 3 clear reference lines behind the face. It has a different grip that matches it’s function, kind of a “shield” shape (flatish on top). I’m not an expert, and haven’t used them yet, but I like them. ... show more

  • Small irons are good, big boys break easy.
Size: Long Hand Orientation: Right
Not the best clubs, I had them for less than a year and only played two games, and on my second game the club heads of my driver and 3 wood came completely off. The rest of the clubs are fine and dandy just the big ones. They where just to flimsy.
