WilD WOMEN RISING: Quote from the book. “Women need to support women to come back into this ‘wild’ side of themselves. To reconnect with the wildness lying dormant within them. To explore it and get comfortable with it … Nurture your body, don’t treat it like a shell that is there to serve you. This is a really lovely book. Each chapter begins with a poem and ends with a section called ‘practical wisdom,’ that includes exercises designed to bring the insights explored in the poem into daily life. The author deals with a broad range of topics from freedom and self-empowerment to spirit, intuition and energy. She handles all with a grace and kindness that I found inspiring. It’s a passionate book about connecting with our feminine power but I think it would appeal to both men and women - the concept of reconnecting with our souls to allow a deeper knowledge of ourselves is not gender specific. Compared with the modern feminism (claiming women can do and should do whatever men can do), Clare points out that it is okay to admit we can't do somethings. I spent my Sunday morning reading this wonderfully written book. I found myself thinking deeps thought by reading the poems and universal truths that I could apply to my own life.
