Okay even with the basket facing out at a weird angle, this thing still held my cat!! We moved it toward the front just to be sure it’s as stable as possible. She laid there and even rolled over in it for hours! The brown cat is about 9lbs and the black and white cat is closer to 15lbs, and they both have no problem getting into the little house and the basket. The hammock isn’t useful for them, but it definitely would be for a kitten or a ferret or other small pet, and we’ll be using it as a toy basket. The media could not be loaded. Very pretty color, nice feel and okay quality. Wasn’t hard to assemble, but it’s not super stable. When the cat is on the top, she makes the cat tree wobble, so we temporary have it beside the kitchen counter wall. She loves the hideout part of the cat tree (we put temptations in there), and we’ve got the bag in the other part she’s skiddish of. Hoping she will eventually try both hammocks. ... show more

The instructions started a little confusing, then i realized that I was to screw in the brackets. After that it was actually easy to assemble. My cat loves it, he was trying to use it while I was putting it together. Great purchase.

Update: it came damaged and keeps flipping over, she is horrified of it at this point. She'll only touch the hangy bed and it makes the entire thing look like the leaning tower of piza. Not a good buy. Customer service is non existent. After one hour original review:Omg I barely finished putting together this thing before she fell in love with it. She jumped right in the little hangy bed, playing with the toys and scratchin' it up purring like crazy. It's so wobbly though I'm afraid it's going to fall over. I was able to drag it over to the wall (with her on it since she won't get off) and it seems better. Would maybe put a softer cushion on the top, the bed is pretty hard. The installation was very difficult for me though, none of the holes were large enough and I had a hard time lining up the poles. I'm 27 but with a hand disability, so I'm not like old or anything but it took me about two hours. ... show more
