Start out by saying there is a lot to like packed into a small package. At $299, it's very attractive way to stream music, create a 2.1 home theatre and support analog input (like a turntable/preamp) and even a digial source all in one tidy package. HDMI Arc is fantastic for controlling the home theatre from the source remote. The included remote does the basics... nothing special but works well. WiiM app is awesome! You'll probably use the app to control the music sources anyway. Killer sub controls in the app... control the level, crossover and phase all from the app. Tweak it in seconds. No need to fuss with the back of your sub! Truly outstanding! It's not the most powerful amp though. I felt that in a big room with high ceilings, it really had a tough time pushing the home theatre and music. Somewhat thin sounding and not enough oompf at rumble the dishes levels. Forget blowing out the windows level. WiiM amp plus bookshelf speakers and sub weren't really enough for the big room. That said, in a smaller enclosed media room... plenty. The sound signature is pretty good... nice even. But again, lacked a little in soundstage and depth playing music. Still sounded good, just not AS good as music dedicated amp like the Fosi BT20A or Aiyima T9 which I currently have. Even with the 3255 amp chip and good ESS DAC chip, execution is a little more 2D than I was hoping for. HOWEVER... this is an amazing value that sounds pretty good. You will not get a package like this anywhere else for $299. Maybe with some more playing around with speaker placement and room setting, sound will open up a bit more. For me, the WiiM Amp is very well suited for a small to medium size room. It is excellent music listening support with the app even if the overall sound isn't amazing (it's very good). Home theatre support is strong. The DAC is clean and detailed. I'm not trying to sound wishy-washy here. Don't expect $1000 capability for $299... expect great capability for $299 - performance to value is really where it's at with this. Get it in the right room (small to medium), play it at the right volume (don't try to shake the house) and you'll appreciate what it does... which is a lot. It's 5 stars all the way as long as you don't go thinking it's way more than it is.

I bought the WiiM amp to drive an old pair of Tannoy Revolution Mini speakers, and a borrowed Klipsch sub, in order to to expand my multi room streaming set up. I do not listen to a ton of vinyl but have plugged in a turntable as well. It certainly doesn't sound like the budget system it is! The WiiM has been excellent. Set up through the app was quick and painless. I was really impressed with the ease and effectiveness of the subwoofer set up. The EQ functions in the app are very effective. Streaming stability is faultless. I have already received an over the air firmware update which I find very reassuring. I mainly stream Apple Music or Tidal through Airplay 2. Other wi-fi components and speakers in the house are from Marantz + Klipsch, Sonos, IKEA/Sonos and Edifier. I also tried some full sized FLAC files through the WiiM via Tidal Connect and it sounded great. No problems at all. The onboard DAC is excellent. The top part of the case is solid aluminum and I think that is to aid with heat management. I would not recommend placing anything on top of the unit as it can get a bit warm. The power supply is enclosed (no wall slug!). Audio output is clean, dynamic and very powerful. It is really hard to believe how little this amp costs. Alternative streamer amps from Sonos or Blusounds are more than double the price. This is a high quality, small but mighty, streaming amp that would easily handle just about any set up you can think of. Very highly recommended.
