I’ll return to edit after use, but I’m super disappointed the disc came in this cheap case and not the original case as shown. This is a gift for my son’s 5th bday so not having original products is disappointing. Returning to add, kid wasn’t even excited because he didn’t know what it was since it wasn’t in the ORIGINAL PACKAGING. 😒 AND this didn’t even come with directions for set up. Very inconvenient, I don’t even know how to work this thing. Now I’ll have to search online. Good price, but packaging and lack of setup instructions super disappointing. Will return to review how the actual product works after I fight this out. Returning to give 5 stars, product works great and my son is so happy about it! 10/10 ... show more

What you see in the thumbnails and photos isn’t exactly what you’ll be getting. You will be sent third party controllers that mimic the official Wii remote and nunchuck. The problem with this is that you will have input delay on both the Wii remote and nunchuck and your nunchuck specifically will begin to either drift and/or not register the ‘C’ or ‘Z’ buttons sometimes. When combined, my experience went from really positive to bordering on negative. If you plan on modding your Wii, please keep in mind that these third party controllers don’t work with GameCube games if you are setting up ‘Nintendont.’ You need an official Wii remote and nunchuck to play those games (if that’s your set up). Otherwise, go with an official Gamecube controller (if your Wii has GameCube ports) and/or get an official Wii Classic controller/classic controller pro with an official Wii remote, or just get a wireless controller adapter (that you plug into the back of your Wii) and connect any compatible wireless controller you have (e.g Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, Xbox One series controller controllers, etc.) Lastly, in terms of Mario Kart Wii, it works well. I was actually able to 100% the game (despite how grueling the CPUs are in 150cc and Mirror modes respectively). Time trials was a fun challenge to beat all of the beginner staff ghosts and fast staff ghosts (Tip: unlock Baby Daisy, Funky Kong, and/or Daisy to increase your chances of beating the fast staff ghosts since all three characters have a bonus speed stat). Also, make sure to choose Mach Bike for Daisy, Flame Runner for Funky Kong, and Bullet Bike for Baby Daisy since they are the best vehicles in the game. With all of that said, weigh the pros and cons before buying from this particular seller, and make a sound decision from there. Hope this helps :) ... show more
