It's not perfectly calibrated compared to a high end thermometer but it's good enough for this purpose. I have plenty of smart life / Tuya devices, and most are great. This sensor I bought specifically to work with Alexa routines, as the target device doesn't exist within Smart Life. Anyway the sensor doesn't seem to trigger routines and has a interface that doesn't show temperature in Alexa.

Patience is a virtue with this device. It could connect with the app, but took 5 failed tries before it could connect to the wifi. When I finally got it connected, the app said it was 88.8 degrees in the room. I set the temperature update to 1 minute. Each minute the app would show the temperature lower by 1-2 degrees until it finally matched the other thermometers at 71 degrees and stayed there. It took a while, maybe an hour? I got tired of checking and waited before I looked again. The device did link with Alexa. However, it only gives the humidity on Alexa, not the temperature. I would have preferred the temperature. To be fair, I did not expect much when I purchased the device. It was lower in price and did not have any reviews. We are putting it in our garage at the back of the lot. We have been having problems with the heater and want to make sure the pipes don’t freeze. Its sole job is to sound an alarm if the temperature goes below 50.     • Cheap Solution with poor results

I didn't have high hopes but thought it would work as described. Unfortunately, it does not. The temp only updates once an hour, even when set to every minute. A set of batteries only lasts a few days and with no way to plug it in, that's quite "unusable". If you're just monitoring a closet and only need to know what the temp history is, this may work for you. However, if you want to "see what the temp is" at it's location, the information is inaccurate since it could be up to 60 minutes old. Not a good solution for things like "inside camper temp" monitoring for animals. I purchased this so I could set up a routine where the temp would hit a certain temperature and turn on fans, but that doesn't work because of the hourly reporting. Setup was very much like any smart WIFI, device, took about 10 minutes. Uses same app as Treatlife smart devices. Have only had the device for a few days, but it seems accurate enough. I needed a means to monitor temperature and humidity in my unheated crawl space. For $15 this seems to be an excellent product. Time will tell regarding reliability. App is pretty basic, but OK. I've used two of these very affordable wireless thermo-hygrometers for several weeks and am quite impressed! For the price I dont see how they can be beat. I have one under the eve on the back deck wall, and another inside our chicken coop--35 yards from the router inside. Connection has been flawless and they were easy to setup using the app. Battery use has been good, contrary to what others have stated--they are still over 75%. The temp and humidity accuracy seems accurate. A couple minor gripes is the temp reading shows Celsius on Google Home so that function isn't useful so I must open the app every time. There are a couple other minor glitches I had in the app but the important things work fine. This isn't an expensive weather station so don't have lofty expectations.
