These shorts are the perfect length and width to flatter most leg shapes. More than once I was stopped by complete strangers and asked if Michelangelo had sculpted my legs. Pretty sure that was a compliment! These shorts almost look like a skirt but they're safer because you don't have to risk flashing people if it's windy. The high waist features a stretchy waist band with a button that is really cute and comfy and doesn't give off that frumpy-old-lady-vibe some stretchy waistbands can give off. No offense to any frumpy old ladies out there in review-reading land! I laundered the shorts in a gentle cold water wash as I do most of my clothes (and occasionally myself) to help everything last longer. I hung them to dry--I do that only to my clothes, so no worries there. There was no discernable shrinkage. I discovered that these shorts with their linen look and feel didn't wrinkle much at all even after sitting in a car and driving in them for hours and hours. If my face could avoid wrinkles the way these shorts do, I'd look twenty years younger. I liked my first pair so much that I ordered a second pair in another color. ... show more

This is exactly what I was hoping - size, comfort, color, and look are fine - though it appears someone else hated this garment, returned it, then Amazon just carelessly typically balled it up into a wrinkly mess to recycle. Still, we'll get past that increasingly frequent and (thankfully usually) minor annoyance. The Navy version is such a deep shade it almost appears black. The khaki and army green shorts are close to what I see shown in the listing. Apricot is really just plain off-white to me, but the pants are fine. ... show more

The shorts are so full that they almost look like a skirt on. This quality of this linen is not good as it is the kind that really gets much too wrinkly. I had really hoped I had found a great garment here but I was disappointed.

These are really culottes, not shorts, and they look like a skirt. Do I love them? Yes! They’re comfortable, cool, and stylish without being so short that my old thighs are on display. I’m average height and these are about 1.5” above my knees. They need to be ironed a bit to look perfect, but in a pinch, if they haven’t sat under a pile, they can go without. Love these and they're super comfy!! Usually small sizes are still a little too big around the waist for me, but these were actually a smidge tight (waistband is elastic though). Super breezy and lightweight, and the color is accurate too!! <3
