I have purchased these for a few years directly from Whole Foods, and was excited to see that it was now available from Amazon. The quality has been changing recently. I have these on AutoShip and they’ve gotten increasingly darker in color which I’m assuming means cooked more or longer and they’re incredibly hard now. Tried and approved by both my dog and my brother’s. Felt good about the ingredients (apple, bacon, grain free) but wish they were cheaper or came more in the package. Love these for our pup. Fantastic treats! They used to be easily breakable by hand (1 treat broken into quarters makes her think she's getting more treats). The past few months, they have been super thick (almost 1/4") and we can't break them by hand. I resorted to taking a pair of scissors and cutting the entire bag into quarters. My dogs love these treats, but the "chew-o-meter" on the packaging shows these to be a softer chew. THEY ARE NOT- I can't even break them with my hands and have to rely on a knife if I want to use them as training tidbits. and Don't get me started on attempting to feed them to my senior dog that is missing a few teeth.
