This is good quality coffee. It has a very pleasant aroma and a smooth, balanced flavor. I'm not very good at describing flavor notes, but I can taste the difference between good and bad coffee, and this is definitely good. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is because the bag it's in is not great. After trying to carefully open the bag, it ultimately ripped. Also the wire bag seal was not glued on very well and thay fell off. That was annoying, but I store my coffee in glass jars so it wasn't a really big deal, I just thought people should know. Overall a very nice coffee and I will more than likely end up buying some more. ... show more

I’m always hesitant about trying new coffees since I have specific tastes, but this medium-dark roast genuinely exceeded my expectations. Opening the bag instantly filled my kitchen with an amazing aroma—a promising start that didn't disappoint. The beans were obviously fresh, grinding evenly and releasing an enticing chocolatey scent. The brewed coffee is wonderfully smooth and robust without being overly bitter or acidic, exactly the kind of balance I love. Although the packaging suggests notes of cocoa, caramel, and almond, what stood out most clearly to me was the delightful, subtle chocolate undertone. It’s rich enough to enjoy black but also pairs beautifully with just a splash of cream. This coffee has quickly become my go-to, especially because the freshness truly makes a difference in flavor. Whether I'm making a quick drip brew or taking a little extra time with a French press, every cup has been consistently delicious. I use these beans in my espresso maker every morning. I choose two shots and make a cup of latte. The flavor is smooth and rich, and the smell of the beans is great and fresh. I don’t like bitter or acidic beans, and these are perfect for my taste.

This is more a medium roast as it did not seem to have the traits of a darker roast like the Whole foods Costa Rica. I ground the beans at home to brew at the dojang and it was very popular to the point I had to make an extra pot for only a few of us. This is very smooth with almost no bitterness or acidity detected. I believe this is a great value for the money in whole bean form. Grinding at home to brew fresh definitely makes coffee that much better. ... show more

Oh my gosh, this is so good. I cannot believe how strong it was. The flavor was far better than pretty much any Coffee Bean I have ever used. It was nutty and deep and darken flavor. I am addicted to this coffee. I highly recommend it for somebody who appreciates an espresso roast as it almost seemed stronger than that. So delicious. ... show more
