In another review I wrote about buying a fake plastic hawk named Huxley, I reported that my wife and I don't have AC in our bedroom. I won't go into why that is here in this review. Just know that we don't have an air conditioner in the bedroom. But this summer was super hot so she asked if I could install an AC unit on the parlor floor of our brownstone. Being the hotshot that I am, I leapt at the chance to show her how easy that would be. "The only problem is that there is a big open wall that leads to our stairs, babe." I call her babe a lot. I think this annoys the kids. Not sure how she feels about it. "Well, could we put some curtains there for the summer and sort of trap the cool air in?" I wanted to get this done for her so I said I'd figure something out. After I installed this awesome AC in the window, I went onto Amazon to look for some curtains. I needed long curtains because this floor of our house has very high ceilings. Luckily I stumbled onto the Guken Natural Linen Curtains. They were the perfect length even if they didn't black out the light. Again, the only thing we needed them to do was to help trap the cold air in this room. I was a bit dubious that linen curtains could do that, but to my surprise, they worked like a charm. The only thing I would warn folks about is that my 16 year old would absentmindedly pull on the curtains from time to time. He accidentally pulled them down once or twice. I appreciate how they had a 90" length for these curtains. It was perfect for my window and I'm so glad I bought these. They are sheer so it must be used in conjunction with blinds if it is in a bedroom and you want to sleep in. Quality is decent too for the price.

I bought another 6 panels and 2 were a few inches higher than the rest… not enough to return tho, but I absolutely love the material in grey for privacy but to still let light in and see through them when I don’t want to open.

Curtains look and feel nice. Not scratchy, hang nicely. Surprisingly, they looks much darker when hanging than they appear when flat in the package. Very good for reducing glare.
