I have a Queen-sized bed, but I always buy King-sized blankets and quilts because they have enough drape over the sides of my bed that I’m covered even if the quilt shifts around during the night (not saying how that might happen!). So, when I saw this quilt from the Johalaide Store, I ordered it. I like down alternative quilts. How down is harvested does make me a bit uncomfortable, but not uncomfortable enough to not use it. What makes the down alternatives so attractive is their price. They are so much less expensive than down. This quilt proves that point. It is also well made. The “boxing” of the quilt ensures that the insulation won’t spread around, leaving some areas warm and other areas bare (and you the same under it). The stitching in close and uses a “double-needle” though I have to confess I don’t know the significance of that. I like how it has loops in the corners and sides to allow you to secure it inside of a duvet cover, through I haven’t done that as of yet because the color of this quilt (Light Blue) is so pleasant to look at. Since it’s machine washable it’s not so hard to clean if it gets dirty. I’m using this quilt along with another light quilt. It isn’t warm enough to be the only quilt you need on a winter night, but it’s great for layering. I’m finding out that I push it down early in the night and then grab it and pull it up later on. I am so pleased with this, not only as to the quality, but the color so many times things arrive not as depicted in this does not disappoint! They listed it as carrot orange, which I suppose would be OK but your meat is a little bit lighter than a carrot, orange, or more of a Naruto orange. You are a fan of anime, or even live in the 21st-century you’ll know what I’m saying … lol I really like that this duvet insert/comforter is lightweight. It truly is all season and it even has a little tabs of the corner that you can attach to your duvet cover to keep it in place when shaking it out when you make the bed. I am going to use it on a queen size bed as I want the sides to go further down then what they would if I got a queen size comforter. This is a good quality reasonably priced duvet insert the stitching at it is impeccable. I did not find any loose threads and even though I let it poof out it is not as fluffy as depicted in the listing but that’s OK because the duvet covers the stitching, so you cannot tell that it isn’t as full as in the listing pictures if you have a front and loading washing machine you can certainly wash this at home. However, when you go to put it in the dryer, make sure you have those wool dryer balls that bounce around they will fluff it up more and dry it better with them in the dryer with it. Even if you are not a fan of the color orange is this still something you should consider getting because of the quality and the price. The color will be covered by duvet anyway so unless you’re getting one that’s white that sheer see-through wish you want even know that it’s an orange comforter inside the duvet! So a king size duvet insert/comforter for $35.99 of this quality is a fantastic deal and I totally recommend it. ... show more

So I wanted a sage green down alternative blanket for the coming warmer months. I hate using duvet covers so I was excited that this came in a nice color. The comforter really is as described. It’s soft, lightweight, fluffy - but the color is way off. It’s much more of a minty, toothpaste green than a sage. It’s disappointing because I like everything else about it. However I don’t think I’ll be using it in my bedroom due to the shade. It’ll be great for the guest bedroom though, so it won’t go to waste.
