I ordered these to use in a project where I printed a "riser" that sits on top of my new 3D printer (a Bambu X1 Carbon). The interior light of this printer isn't very bright and makes it hard to see what's happening inside. This riser acts like a spacer between the top panel (glass) of the printer enclosure and provides a groove that allows for mounting strip LED lighting. After printing and assembling the parts, I cut a strip of these LEDs and applied them to the riser and ran the wire out an access hole. I then designed and printed a part to hold the switch and mounted that to the outside of the riser. I plugged it all in with the provided wall wart style 24V power supply. Everything worked great, and it lights up the interior of the printer very well. I included a photo viewing upward into the printer enclosure showing the LED strip lighting installed. (The red part is my printed riser). There is also a photo of the switch mounted to the outside of the riser with the green printed switch holder. This switch allows you to change the brightness and also change modes (flashing modes which I have no use for). I am very happy with the product and it worked exactly as I hoped it would for this project. I still have a lot of leftover LED strip that I could use for future projects but I will need to solder on a new barrel connector. I won't have an additional control switch. ... show more

Needed a new set of under bar lights to replace the ones that were no longer working. I have installed many under cabinet strip lights for myself and family members. These by far where the easiest to deal with. The adhesive is strong and forgiving. You can pull off and reposition and the strip sticks nicely again. Other strips you get one shot, if you have to pull off to reposition it never sticks like it did the first time. Not these! The other BONUS is the strips are easy to cut at the marked lines and place the connectors provided. I used the L shape connector and the 2 pin straight connector. Just slide the ends of the strip into the connector and squeeze with a pair of pliers, not much force is needed. You can cut the strip to the desired length by simply cutting at the marked lines on the strip. The lights are VERY bright. Has 3 settings for 100% brightness, 50% then 25%. 25% seems about right for a nice back lighting. Also has several different modes that I will probably never use. Flashing, strobe, etc.. only wish the FADE was a little slower. You can also HOLD the dimmer button down and it slowly changes brightness. Release when you reach the BRIGHTNESS you need. ... show more

These lights look nice. They stick well but they get hot when on. I had them on for 5 minutes while still rolled up and they got really hot. I will be installing them under cabinets so I’m hoping they aren’t too hot when in a single strip.

I orginally got this strip for attaching to a CNC machine in my shop so I could better see the cutting surface. While the lights installed easily enough and the adhesive seemed to stick well, this is not a continuous COB lighting surface most COB strips employ. It looks like just some diffusers over the individual LED sources to help diffuse the light... however, when these things heat up (and they do heat up) some of the lenses have come off the strip. Since this strip is hanging upside down over my CNC table, this is unacceptable. I can't have small bits of anything dropping into a cut path. So these are no longer in use in my shop. Granted, this is a much more aggressive environment for a light strip, so I don't hold that against the manufacturer, but the loss of the little lenses is an issue for this kind of use. Otherwise, they are bright and seem well enough made, just not for what I needed them for. ... show more

    • A bright and effective lighting solution

It's kind of dark under my upper kitchen cabinets, and the lights on the underside of the built-in microwave quit working (not a bulb issue). So , I was looking for a lighting solution for under my upper kitchen cabinets. This strip of LEDs was perfect - they have an adhesive strip, they are bright and dimmable, the strip is plenty long and can be cut to length. It also has coupler options for cutting and rejoining if I need to go through a divider with the strip. I can use it without the dimmer controls plugged directly into a wifi outlet to have Alexa turn them on and off at the right time of night. These LED strip lights are the perfect solution to my under-cabinet lighting needs. Just one word of caution - the LEDs do get warm so don't turn them on while they are still coiled on the spool. ... show more

I tried using different kinds of clip-on spot lights to light up this dark corner where all my power cords and pet feeders are, but I never got the light to fall exactly how I needed it. I decided that strip lights would be the only solution, and I'm really glad this set worked out perfectly. First of all the adhesion is great, and the rubbery bubble coating on each tiny light makes them very sturdy. I got these hanging upside and going around the entire desk top over-hang, from left to right, using average pressure. I used adhesive cord clips (bought seperately) to hold up the wiring and control switch so that I could just reach under the edge and power on and off the lights, as well as montor the dimmer controls (there is also a third button with pattern modes such as SOS, blinking, glowing etc..). The kit comes with clear connector and 45 degree turn braces and a few inches of wiring to extend or reshape your row of lights. I just turned mine on a fold since the lights were underneath. Not only did I solve the lighting problem, but I also discovered an ambient aesthetic by highlighting the beautiful wood grain and finish of this vintage desk. Love it! It looks fabulous at night on low. I'm beyond please with how this little chore turned out be lovely as well as functional. I would definitely recommend. ... show more
