Absolutely worth it. Had a brand new lower, I was replacing all the furniture on it so when it came down to tbd trigger guard, I thought easy. I've already done this before with my punch set & little hammer. SIKE! I was literally beating on that thing but the roll pin, not even budging. This single purpose tool, whilst not mandatory, takes all anxiety out of breaking trigger guard ears when installing the roll pin. That piece of mind alone is worth the $25. The tool is well made with 2 guide pins, the shorter pin pushes whilst the long pin guides and aligns the pin in the bore. But wait, there's more. As a bonus discard your traditional roll pins. Yes, throw them out. Search for "spiral wound" roll pins and use them. Constructed from 420 stainless they install smooth as silk anywhere you pin your AR. They also apply their holding force evenly about the circumference of the bore. Traditional roll pins do not do this and apply their holding force unevenly in the bore. This is why they are difficult to install and remove. I build my AR's now exclusively with spiral wound roll pins using a small jeweler's mallet. See pictures. Do yourself a favor, get this tool and the spiral wound roll pins. You'll thank me as I too was skeptical. ... show more

Never been disappointed by a Wheeler product. I had a roll pin stuck pretty bad, did not want to budge with roll pin punches. Using this product saved me from having to risk drilling out the stuck pin and got it out in under a minute. It is also worth the peace of mind knowing I will never break a trigger guard ear again! ... show more

I lose more pins trying to assemble the trigger guards in annAR than I care to count. This was totally worth the money. It saves time and frustration.

    • Smooth and easy
No stress. If you stress when pounding the pin in to install the trigger guard, lest you break the 'ears,' then I would expect you to be thrilled with this tool. I lined it up and installed several trigger guards in just a few minutes each. It worked smoothly. It took a few minutes to figure out which pin to use, how to get everything lined up, etc. the first time I used it. After that, it was pretty straight forward. If you follow the instructions and make sure you have everything lined up, I would expect no problems. I'm not sure what the people were doing who left 1 star reviews, as this worked perfectly for me. It is designed for an AR platform, so I can't vouch for other systems. After using this, I won't be using anything else to install the trigger guard. It is SOOO much easier that anything else I've tried. Smooth and no stress!! ... show more
