BUY THIS to soften your firm mattress!!

The firm support of my new memory foam mattress had pretty much eliminated my lower back pain and hip stiffness, but it didn't provide the comfort portion of my old mattress. I didn't look forward to going to bed. Adding this topper was a game changer! In conjunction with the mattress, not only is my pain and stiffness significantly relieved, but I actually look forward to getting into bed! I had some hesitation about the shredded memory foam composition of this topper because I imagined I'd feel little squares of memory foam while I slept. But I took a chance and ordered. This topper works exactly the way I needed it to! It really is as thick and fluffy as advertised! It expanded very quickly once it was unwrapped and I didn't notice any unusual odor. The deep pockets fit my 14" with ease and look like they would fit up to an 18", if not more. After about two hours, my sister laid on the bed and her face lit up, lol. I waited about five hours until actual bed time and BAAAABY...was it worth it! It was like heaven! This is like adding an expensive pillowtop to the mattress. The surface material is like that of a well-made pillow and the tufting is legitimate and not just for show. The thread piping around the edges is not only a nice aesthetic touch, but also acts to contain the foam and should be used as a guide for proper topper placement. I can't really attest to the cooling properties, but I can tell you as a postmenopausal woman that I was not hot at all. Now I get an incredibly luxurious, pillowy, softness when I get in the bed! My only suggestion for the manufacturer is to add more filling to the sleeping surface of the topper to allow for the compression that happens when it is slept on; I want it to stay as fluffy as the edges do! Compression aside, it still makes a world of difference in my sleeping experience. The mattress firmness is no longer the forward feeling; comfort is!! If you need to soften up your firm mattress, don't hesitate. BUY THIS. It is definitely ALICIA APPROVED!!

Nice topper for “too firm mattress”

I bought this topper for a mattress that I recently bought that ended up being just way too firm for me. I read a lot of reviews before settling on this one because it seemed that most people purchasing this one had the same problem. I waited almost two weeks after purchasing to write this so I could see how it held up. My opinion is that when you first get on this pad, it feels like a dream! So very soft and fluffy, it felt like sleeping on a cloud. I was in love. Unfortunately, it takes all of about 30 seconds for it to settle where you are laying. Don’t get me wrong, it still definitely helps with the firm mattress and I wake up in less pain than I used to. I just wish it stayed like it was when you first jump in. Asking too much I fear. Unlike others, I had no issue with the size. It is definitely thick and helps a lot with keeping my sheet nice and tight. I would advise keeping sheet stretchers on the corners though because the topper is so thick. I think it might slip if not. I also had no issue with an odor or it making me hot while I sleep and trust me, that I would notice! I also rotate the topper a full 180 degrees one a week when I wash my bedding just to try to keep that fluffiness. All in all, I think I would recommend this for a mattress that is just too firm. It does help with that and the price was definitely worth it.

You spend a lot of Time sleeping so why not make it the best you can. This will change your nights sleep. I have a hard time falling asleep this helps me stay asleep it’s that comfortable

Smaller than my queen bed but its close enough. Does have a strange smell, burnt peanuts? I got the bamboo one, not sure. Does feel soft and did fluff up some, not as nice looking as pictures. I'd buy it again but I wouldn't pay as much.
