This mat seems thick and mostly durable. The strap arrived broken though. It slips right out and the whole thing falls to the ground. It still has the side handles which will have to work. Other than that though, really helpful in keeping my feet/gear clean when changing and keeping my wet gear from making a mess in the trunk.

I’m excited that my first try at an Amazon-flooded product turned out GREAT!! I know all too well how you sometimes have to try several items before you get one that’s actually worth keeping. This changing mat is definitely built to last and to do what it says. I’m a fairly big guy - 6’/235lbs - and the size of this mat is perfect for my wetsuit, boots, gloves, and even mask and any other small gear… The thickness and feel of the waterproof base material feels very high quality, and the rest of the construction feels the same. The bungees are nice and thick and the perfect length. I definitely recommend this mat at a price point even higher than what I paid ($30) - I’d be willing to pay even more!

I swim year round. I needed a mat to put my changing coat and towel on to keep things dry. If raining or snowing you can pull in the cord to protect gear. It is also super easy to keep all the wet gear in it for the ride home. I tried other mats and returned them. This is a keeper!

UPDATE: seller contacted me to send a new one after the strap on the first one I purchased was defective. Excellent customer service for an excellent product. Highly recommend this for surfers or anyone who owns a wetsuit. ------- Bought this as a gift and one end of the plastic strap broke when taking out of the car
