I just got my Board Buddy about 6 weeks ago. Our North Carolina house is a good 100 yards from the Ocean and it made carrying my longboard over two sets of dunes easy work. This is a much better product than a sling as it gives you much more control, especially in the wind. Unfortunately, on the way back to the house on my second use, one side cracked out of the handle and then the other side came out as well as the handle was over torqued with just one fasten point. I was bummed because the product was about five days out of the 30 day no-hassle return period. Given that other reviewers talked about using these for years, I felt pretty sure I just got a bad product and that there was some kind of manufacturing defect in mine. Thus, I applied for a return anyway. Within 2 hours, I had a return email saying they would replace the product no problem. I love buying smart clever products, and when a company stands behind its products, it makes it even more awesome. These guys run a class act and I would do business with them again in a heart beat.

I have a wide 8'6" fun board, and have trouble getting a good hold on it. I walk about 1 1/2 blocks down to the ocean so I needed a solution. This product is great. Simple design, feels strong, and solved my problem perfectly. I bury it in the sand and catch some waves. Easy... thanks for a good product. If you don't want a strap or board bag to lug to the water. This is it.

Makes it so easy to carry my board

This is my 2nd Board Buddy to replace the older model which I had for many years. I don't have a long board but my fav. fish is too wide for me (or my arms are too short!). I've tried other board carrier and straps but they swing too much. The BB carries the board securely and the rubbery grip is also comfortable! It definitely helps when we have to go up and down long steps or walking through loose rocks and try to balance. The angle of the handle also creates enough space that your fingernails won't rub against the board & wax. There's a slot on the back of the BB for wall mounting so you can hang a towel, a leash, etc. It's such a precious little thing, I always burry it in the sand and hide it so no one steals it while I surf!

This worked great during our last trip to Oahu. The walk from our timeshare to Queens was almost a half mile and this "Board Buddy" made carrying a longboard that far much easier. I initially balked at the price but it was well worth it. You can also mount it on your wall at home and put your board in it. Well made of a plastic material that will not scratch your board. Great for heavy longboards if you have to carry them any distance.

Love this product! I ride a very big long board and have short arms. I always seem to be struggling when trying to carry my board- this is a great extension to my own limb and allows me to carry my board with ease :)
