Heavy duty. Works as expected. I got this to use as a carry on so I don’t need to check a bag. It’s great for a weekend trip or overnighter. If you’re looking to pack a weeks worth of clothes I’d go larger. I easily got my hygiene bag, shorts, pants and a few shirts, undies and socks

I bought this case while looking to replace a "national-named case that no longer supports its lifetime guarantee" (business travelers will know which company that is, but it rhymes with Rumi). I wanted safe, waterproof, rugged, and able to fit into almost any overhead. This was IT! I highly recommend the optional lid organizer. I installed that using some heavy-duty Velcro from Home Depot, and it came out great. The wheels are loud and clunky. However, you can replace them easily with rollerblade wheels and they would be SMOOTH as silk! Only last concern is, at least one airline (Delta) seems to think that, because it's a Pelican case, it needs special handling. I spent 45 minutes in Atlanta one day trying to find where my bag went, as the baggage people said "Belt 7" but the baggage handlers had it sequestered in a corner way in the back because it was a "special case." So be prepared for some bad customer service should you decide to check it... but if you DO check it, your stuff will be snug and dry no matter what the weather! ... show more

As usual a great pelican product. I use this as a tool box with a tool roll, klien canvas bags, and the lid organizer. I added the skate wheels as well for a better roll on all surfaces, it makes a big difference.

I love it's solid construction and space, it definitely needs dehumidifier packs to avoid moisture trapped and mold or rusting if in a humid environment. Definitely spend the little bit extra for the foam in it otherwise trying to find foam that's a good fit later can be difficult.

This is a superb case - strong, well built, long lasting, roomy and easy to handle. I highly recommend this over other go-to brands. Unlike other "top-of-the-line" brands of carry-on luggage, this will survive baggage-handling abuse and just about any other kind of abuse as well. It locks securely and easily with a standard Master combo lock, or a TSA lock, if you need to check it through. Once again, I give Pelican engineers an A+ ... show more
