I wore this over a shirt and it failed to stay in position. When I wore it directly on my skin it stayed up and protected my ribs. I wold highly recommend this.

This product worked great! I am a avid surfer and I have a protruding left side rib. When I surf it is uncomfortable when I lie down on the board. This product has helped alleviate the pain. Stayed on well,didn’t move as much I Had previously assumed. Definitely recommend!

Not sure how this could possibly be for surfing.. Shifts and moves around non stop.. I spent more time adjusting it than not. Every time I'd go to paddle into a wave it'd shift and cause me to slide around my board. Just overall did not work well. If you can get it to not move... Then it'd be okay cause it did seem to give a nice little cushion for my rib pain... But overall not worth dealing with it constantly moving. Especially if you're in waves of consequence. Even in 2ft surf it was nuisance. ... show more

Recently whenever I surf, I was experiencing pain at he base of my sternum as mine sticks out a bit. The Ribguard work fine, but paying $36 for 1mm wetsuit material that has Velcro on one end seems grossly over priced to me.
