**Update: I’ve purchased this primer 3 times now! I love it! It worked well for the hot summer when I was more oily. Now that it’s cooling off and my skin is a bit more dry, it’s still fantastic. It performs better on my dry areas than I initially thought it would! I’ve pushed aside all my high end primers for this! I’ve found it’s most similar to urban decay all nighter primer when comparing it to high end primers. **Original review: Where do I even begin with this primer lol. So someone mentioned in the reviews it compares to tatcha liquid silk canvas, which I absolutely love, but is very expensive! When I read the review I thought that was too good to be true. Well I ordered the primer anyway to give it a try. When it first got it I didn’t think much of it, it sat in my overloaded makeup drawer for a while. I eventually pulled it out and to my surprise the consistency is a little odd. It is kinda thick-ish when it comes out of the tube. It also isn’t the typical silicone primer like I’m used to. I didn’t realize until I was wearing the primer how much better my makeup and skin looked. I looked in the mirror outside in the middle of the day in natural light and then realized this was a darn good primer! Now of course it’s no miracle, my pores are problematic, but I noticed a big difference! I don’t think it’s quite as good as tatcha BUT its definitely comparable and at a fraction of the cost! It’s my favorite drugstore primer now. I’ve tried most of them: baby skin, nyx, maybelline, revlon, L’Oréal, other wet n wild ones, Malani, too many to remember and name. I have combination skin with a very oily t zone but dry between my brows and cheeks. I am 32 years old with some fine lines, large pores and texture. This primer does a really great job! It doesn’t dry my skin out and definitely helps to hide pores and fine lines. It helped with the wear of my makeup and it didn’t rub off on my mask as much as normal. I have used it with both powder (fenty powder foundation) and liquid (makeup forever HD & nyx can’t stop won’t stop) foundations and it works well with both! It did help to control my oily t zone while not making my dry areas worse. I don’t know what they did to make this primer work for both oily and dry areas but it does the job! I wouldn’t go as far to say it’s hydrating like the nyx marshmallow primer, but it does give some light hydration. It definitely doesn’t dry me out and does help with dry flaky skin. If your skin is superrrr dry and you are looking for a really hydrating primer there’s probably better options like nyx hydro touch and nyx marshmallow primers. If you have normal dry, dry-combo, combo, oily, oily-combo try this! Everyone’s skin is different though. What works for me may or may not work for someone else! I think it’s good for all ages as well. My teen step daughter loves it and she has very acne prone normal to dry skin. My mom loves it and has mature combo skin. Honestly for the price you can’t go wrong. Sure there’s high end primers that beat it, but I will switch to this for now because of the price. I will probably repurchase too! ... show more

A beauty youtuber recommended this and the main draw was a non silicone primer that blurred pores. Unfortunately I didn't notice that. However I'm not mad at it. I have combo acne prone textured skin for reference. This was quite hydrating, mattified and improved the longevity of my makeup. Products layered well on top of it and it did not pill. A huge plus was that I did not break out. If it had blurred and was a bit bigger than it would have been perfect. The price is definitely right ... show more

I bought this primer because I needed something to make my makeup set better, create a smooth surface and cover pores. I didn't feel this product did any of that. My pores were just as visible and my makeup didn't set any better. What I did like was the feeling of it going on and the feel of my skin after application. I feel it is more of a light moisturizer than a primer. Since it didn't blur or minimize anything it's not really to use solo and it had no benefit on how my make up went on or stayed on and although it did not make my face more oily it did not make it less oily in T zone areas as day wore on. I probably will use it as more of moisturizer before make up when my skin is dry. I did like the consistency even though it had an odd application feeling at first but a cool fresh feeling after applying. It did have a somewhat matte affect but my origins moisturizer does the same but better. All in all I would use as pre makeup light moisturizer instead of primer. Ok for the money if looking toward moisturizer. I only applied in am and am not sure if putting it on at bedtime would encourage break outs or not. Definitely pre makeup moisturizer. ... show more

This is an inexpensive make up product that I could not live without! It literally glides over your skin with just a small amount. It is a great primer for the Wet and the tinted moisture cream. My skin is slightly live tone and I still wear the fair. At 75, make up foundation, tends to clog in wrinkles! This make up looks fresh and by using the primer - no longer fills in wrinkles! I love this primer! The price is great for such a good product. It has a thicker consistency but it does so nicely. Makeup blends wonderfully over it. My makeup stays put all day even with working in extremely hot conditions. It’s my go to.

Bought this as an inexpensive primer to keep in my desk for when I need to do my makeup at work. Works great, Blurs pores. Doesn't get cakey. Helps foundation glide on. Is it the best primer I ever tried, no but is it a dang good primer for the price, absolutely.
