Speaking as a makeup newbie, this has been the easiest to use and most effective mascara I have tried so far! Some mascara wands have a learning curve to getting the right effect when using them, but the shape of this wand was so easy for me to use. I love that it separates my lashes while adding volume. It’s very pigmented and provides a deep black color. I really wish it came in brown since I do prefer a lighter color, but for now this is my new go to mascara. Personally I found it to be very long lasting to the point that it was hard to remove. Both a positive and a negative in my opinion. A good voluminous mascara. Affordable. Smudge proof (AFTER it dries) - 3 stars because: - very slow to dry (and apply second coat) - NOT waterproof! (smudge proof, yes); that's my biggest complaint - the title on this item is wrong. (see photos) Note: I LOVE wet 'n wild products in general. I bought the Very Black shade hoping for a simple everyday mascara, but this was one of the worst formulas I’ve tried. It clumped on the first coat, smudged under my eyes within an hour, and flaked throughout the day. Even at around three dollars, it didn’t feel worth the price because I couldn’t get a clean or long‑lasting look out of it. For comparison, I immediately went back to my usual CoverGirl Lash Blast, which performs consistently for me with no clumping or smearing. This mascara is good!!!! It works well with my lashes! My eyes also water sooo much and I didn’t notice ANY watering or discomfort! I’m not sure why people are saying it’s dry and clumpy, I can only assume they got a “bad” tube because for me, there was no clumping at all! This is my second purchase of this mascara, holds up my lashes pretty good and for $3 ya can’t beat it like the $14 telescopic ones and other brands. They all do the same thing. I’ll stick to this one.
