From what I remember from the last time I tried Wet n Wild products was that the texture wasn't great and the color payoff wasn't the best. This formula definitely surprised me. It's not heavy, the texture is amazing, the pigment is stunning and vibrant and the overall look is exactly what I wanted for a ton less. I was pleasantly surprised by this lip pencil. The Perfect Pout pencils are excellent and stay where you put them. It's helpful to note the same is NOT true of Wet n Wild's other lip pencil lines. No luck with those at all. But these are as good or better than the more expensive pencils I have. They apply easily. The formula is neither soft or too firm. Ok, well while I love this shade is called "I'm Blushing" and is it ever bright. You would think with a shade called I'm Blushing it would be a more natural color. It is not natural toned at all...it is very vibrant and I'd say more like a pinkish red. It really lines the lips nice with the flat tip. It certainly brightens up my face...LOL It's way darker than I usually wear these days, but I'll see what my daughter says if it'll work for her wedding...It's so vibrant I feel like "here come my lips" !! Super pigmented!! Glides on great and very bold. 1st pic is just lined with gloss over my lips and 2nd is liner all over lips, wiped them with a wet rag to tone down the color for a no makeup look, and added gloss, LOVE!!

Nice glide, pencil didn't break, but not mauve. I think of mauve as a medium dusty pink with purple undertones, neutral to cool-toned. Swatches online made it look like the perfect color but on me it looks more dark brown/orange than mauve. At least it was cheap. For reference I am very pale with neutral undertones. It might look more mauve on warm-toned skin with the warmer contrast but on cool/neutral skin it isn't cool enough. I was looking for a retractable, slightly darker version of NYX loud liner in Fierce Flirt. Will have to keep looking. ... show more

This Wet N Wild lipliner goes on smoothly like silk and stays on until you either wipe it off or (for example) eat an apple. For me it stayed on even when I ate food with a fork or spoon because I wasn't touching the liner. An apple, on the other hand, does touch it when eating and so it wipes off. I am pleased that the tip of the liner does not break off when applying it like some others I have tried. Also the price was very reasonable. The plum color would be attractive on any complexion.
