  • Well worth the cost.
Style: 6500 Watts - Dual Fuel
Good product. Easy to put together and to get ready for operation. The funnel was a great addition to get the oil in with little pain. Used propane for the first run. Took several pulls to get it going, but worked like a charm after that. Good product for the price point.

  • Exactly what I wanted and Needed
Style: 6500 Watts - Dual Fuel
Looks and works great! Exactly what I was looking for. It is also very easy to start, and mostly together just had to attach the wheels. They also send the oil and a funnel for the oil Deails all over the panels too. Very easy for someone looking for a generator and not real sure what to do.

  • First use, Worked great
Style: 6600 Watts - Dual Fuel - Remote Start
Recently had a big storm go through our area. We lost power for approx 19 hours. It was easy to move the generator from our shed to the house and get set up. It fired up right away and we were back in business. Easy to use and worked great to power up our house. We couldn't even hear it in the house so the noise wasn't bad at all. Great product. ... show more

  • Solid generator
Style: 6500 Watts - Dual Fuel
Purchased to provide temporary power for refrigerator, small portable AC, and a few portable electronics for occasional outages. Because I'm not a heavy user, I was mainly looking for good value - I did not need to pay for something that was going to run 100 hours a week for years on end. It just needs to work when I need it. While Westinghouse is a old name in electrical (most of the western world's big nuclear reactors are built by Westinghouse and George Westinghouse invented alternating current) the brand name has been sold a few times for different applications and for this one is now retained by a company owned by an investment group, so I tend to be skeptical of applicability of "130 years of experience". Claim is this generator is designed in the US and manufactured overseas (mine was made in Vietnam). So far, happy with the purchase. Amazon delivered it right up to my garage which was nice. Took 10 minutes to install the wheels and fill it with oil. The unit is certainly well built, very solid frame and motor. Fired right up on a propane tank. I'll tend to run it on propane for shorter durations so I do not have to worry about emptying gasoline out of the tank for longer term storage. That being said, stated gasoline usage rates (about 10 gallons a day at 50% load) are manageable for a multi day event and one of the reasons I purchased this size of generator (I need to be able to store a few days worth of gasoline for this to be useful). There is not an hour meter on the unit to track usage. Would suggest buying one (they are very inexpensive) to stick on the unit to track usage so you do your maintenance on time. Quite easy to push around on the wheels, relatively small footprint for garage storage (about the size of a cooler). Was pleased with the noise level - no open frame generator is quiet but running this 20 feet away from my house it's barely noticeable inside and not at a level where it will rattle my neighbors home. All in all, happy with the unit - really good buy. ... show more

  • Great product.
Style: 6600 Watts - Gas Only - Remote Start
This generator is very well built and easy to get ready to use. Smaller in size than my older unit with more power. Replacing a older McCulloch 5700W that does not run. New unit has more wattage.

  • Good generator at a fair price
Style: 6500 Watts - Dual Fuel
I purchased this generator prior to hurricane season as I live in Florida. Went years avoiding the purchase of one and enduring extended power outages. Finally gave in and bought one only to not need it this time around but at least I have it for the future. The package included everything you need, to include the engine oil, the gas-line hookup for using propane (duel fuel model) and even a threaded mini funnel to assist you in adding the engine oil without making a mess. The instructions in the manual were clear and easy to read. I started the generator with no issues and tested to verify it was outputting power to my connected power strip. While I have not had much time/experience with this generator yet, I will say that the fuel indicator can be misleading. You will need to add a decent amount of fuel before you see any movement on the indicator. Also, if you let the generator run dry you will notice there is still fuel in the tank. Not a substantial amount but enough that you'd think the generator should still be running. As stated before, you will need to add a considerable amount to actually start the generator which I wasn't keen on doing as I only wanted to test. There is no drain valve to remove the fuel so you may have to get creative or add a fuel stabilizer to the tank which I ended up doing. Once the fuel tank indicator says it's below the empty line it's not going to start even if you see fuel in the tank. At the very least it may be difficult to start. I believe it just doesn't have enough pressure built up yet to push fuel through as there is no fuel pump. Other than the issue I described above it seems like a decent generator for the money. Don't expect it to be quiet though, not at this price point and with this much power output. It's not the loudest thing I've ever heard but it's not going to be a quiet as a $1500 Honda generator with half the power output. ... show more
