  • Detailed Initial Impressions- New WGen11500TFg
Style: 14500W Tri-Fuel + CO Sensor
WGen 11500TFc -Ordered on 04/11 for approx. $1400- delivered on 04/26. Delivery-be warned that even though you may enter a preferred delivery window during order process with Amazon, RXO (shipping company) may change that on you last minute. The afternoon before, I got a text from RXO saying my delivery is taking place between 8am -11am. I had specifically requested 11am-2pm as I was out of town arriving back home the morning of delivery around 10-10:00am. RXO initially refused to change their window. I called Amazon customer service. They were amazing, got the shipping company to change the delivery time to what I had requested at order. Delivery- after the back and forth between Amazon and shipping company, it arrived on time. Good size box but not as big as others. This thing was about 260+lbs. Two delivery guys got it out and down without too much hassle and put it in my garage. Unboxed and all good to go-no dings, no dents all parts in box accounted for. Unpacking- Easily broke the box down and was able to account for all parts based on manual- pretty detailed instructions. Left it sitting on the open box so I would not get oil on my garage floor. Assembly- I'm not a mechanical guru at all-only do the basics. I was able to put on legs and wheels, fill oil, connect battery and switch from bonded neutral to floating neutral (for use as home back up primarily) without any hassle. Just about everything is spelled out in the instruction manual so not even I could screw it up. The ONLY item that you have to dig for is how much oil to put in- you have to pour in and keep checking to avoid overfilling. On page 3 under Specs I finally found it- Oil Capacity 1.26 quarts. This is not spelled out in any other part of the manual. In less than 45 mins I was ready to wheel it around to the back yard to hook it up to LPG and crank it up. Start Up- Again pretty straight forward. No issues- LPG hose to tank and generator and select it as fuel source. Turned the power switch on and hit push button, cranked up on 2nd try. I let it run for about 5 mins then shut off using push button again. I let it sit for about 5 mins then started back up this time with remote start-it cranked right up first go around. This time we ran it for 10 mins- no issues, no leaks, ran like a champ. Shut it down, let it sit for a couple of mins. Finally, I did a startup using manual pull handle and put a load on it (about 2000w-should not use more than 50% of rated load for 1st 5 hours per break in guidance in manual) and ran it for another 15 mins. no issues at all. Powered down, let it cool and checked the oil. G2G. Noise- it's a little loud, not sugar coating it. It's not as loud as diesels I have used in the past but in my yard, its loud. I will eventually take steps to quiet it down some. Not going to win any tactical awards with this thing but as long as it works, the price was right, and I can deal with the noise. I'll apologize to my neighbors by letting them run an extension cord when the power goes out this summer. Overall thoughts- the shopping experience was good; price was right, the power and features on this generator fit our needs. Shipping delivery window was my only complaint but luckily Amazon was able to assist. Not sure why they offer the option to select delivery window if the shipping company can change it on their own. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and now I fell a bit better prepared to handle upcoming storm season and likely power outage events this year. I will do more testing in the coming days to add more load and get through the break in period before doing a full home back up trial. I'm confident that with 10500 w running on LPG should be more than enough to power everything in the house. ... show more

  • Easy to set up and operate
Style: 14500W Tri-Fuel + CO Sensor
Delivered sooner than expected with no issues, packaging was well done, included everything necessary and set up was easy. This certainly is a well built compact machine with good performance and many features for the money. Of particular importance to me was the Voltage regulator and a low THD of +/- 5%. Started right up on propane but I will probably use it mostly running on gasoline. Having a choice of fuel to power it is a nice bonus. ... show more

  • Portable power when you need it
Style: 14500W Tri-Fuel + CO Sensor
Very well designed and well built unit. Excellent packaging, and includes all the tools and LP/NG fittings needed to power up right away. Setup is quick, fired right up on propane. A bit loud, but that's expected. I bought this unit as a more versatile alternative to a fixed natural gas whole house generator - I expect to use it during construction of an outbuilding shop, and ready to run the house in an emergency. ... show more

  • Great generator
Style: 14500W Tri-Fuel + CO Sensor
The generator was delivered on the scheduled date and time. All items arrived in excellent condition, packed as new. Assembling the feet and wheels was easy, as all instructions were given. All the accessories, except a 50-amp power cord, are provided. The generator started on my first try and ran smoothly. The remote start key fob was already paired for simple and fast operation. I really like all the added features and flexibility on this unit. It will be a great power unit for backing up our home power supply in an emergency. ... show more

  • Great Product for the Money
Style: 14500W Tri-Fuel + CO Sensor
Purchased the 11500 tri-fuel as a whole home backup for my 2000 square foot home. After the crazy Texas freeze in 2022, I needed something as a whole-home backup. 9500 running watts on natural gas surpassed the competition. For the price, the generator comes very well packaged. Instructions for assembly were easy to follow. Included necessary tools, came with the correct oil for the engine, even included a funnel! Frame is sturdy, wheels and feet were easy to assemble and seem of good quality. I will update this after some use, although the plan is to not to need it ever. The only drawback is that this thing is very heavy and would be difficult for someone of smaller stature to handle themselves. ... show more

  • Seems to be good quality for the price
Style: 14500W Tri-Fuel + CO Sensor
Arrived quickly, though was delivered upside down. Other than that, everything in great shape. I have not needed to use it for any large loads, but documentation is clear and easy to follow.

  • Easy setup and powerful enough to run most of the house
Style: 14500W Tri-Fuel + CO Sensor
The generator arrived in perfect condition and on time. The setup was easy and fast, I had it put together and running in no time. Very powerful unit no matter which fuel type is being used. I primarily plan on running it off natural gas but until I have the gas line run, I'm running off propane, and it runs perfectly. The remote start is a huge plus as well. ... show more
