Description
The Westinghouse WGen11500DFc Dual Fuel Portable Generator with CO Sensor produces up to 14,500 peak watts and 11,500 running watts, and runs on gasoline, propane (LPG), or natural gas. The heavy duty 550cc 4-Stroke OHV Westinghouse Engine has a durable cast iron sleeve and runs for up to 19 hours on a 9.5 gallon (36 L) gas tank, keeping you powered through the day or night with built-in fuel gauge, automatic low oil shutdown, and GFCI outlets. At less than 5% THD, the WGen11500DFc allows you to safely and easily power sensitive electronics like computers, phones and TVs. This machine is a beast! Easy set up, easy operation, power to spare, and easy storage, everything you might ask of a high capacity generator. I run mine strictly on propane and it works like a champ. It's a bit on the loud side but that's to be expected in an open frame configuration. Great generator

Love it !! Easy to assemble. Quality product. Very well made. I hooked the propane up and honestly thought it would crank for a good while before it fired up. Wrong. It fired up in a couple seconds. I’m very pleased with it. Let El Niño come now. I’m ready with my Wgen11500tfc.

A Lot of Power for the Price

Installation and startup were seamless. I had a transfer switch set up for another generator and was able to hook this unit into the switch for alternate backup. So far - in test mode for six hours - I powered simultaneously five mini-split AC's (total 40,000 BTU's) plus a duplex refrigerator and large chest freezer (and house lights) using gasoline as fuel. The noise is what you would expect from a generator this size, but I saw almost no vibration on a concrete pad, even on the wheels. So far, this generator has exceeded my expectations. A lot of power for the price.

Very Impressive Product.

Excellent machine for a reasonable price; triple fuel capability, electric start, mobil with included wheels and handle, many safety features, runs quiet, produces plenty of power. Shipping was free and speedy. Connects easily to house wiring through proper circuit panel connection.

I have zero issues so far... very powerful generator. : - )

So far I have zero issues with this generator. It is super powerful and is capable of running all electrical in my house during power outages using propane instead of gasoline. I would like to see a field in the data screen indicating how much power is being used. Before adding oil, make sure the drain plug and filter plug is screwed down securely. The factory runs the unit for testing before shipping. They drain the oil beforehand. The filter plug was not screwed down securely allowing several table spoons of oil to leak onto the ground. This is a large and powerful generator. Keep in mind that it is loud. Much louder than an inverter generator since it has an open design. I am looking into making or purchasing a generator housing to quiet it down. I was originally going to purchase a DuroMax generator. I chose not to because of the reviews on the internet. Westinghouse had a better review rating overall.

There is a second fuel cutoff switch!

Generator is fine, it does what it says BUT!!!!!!!!! For the love of all things holy, add a line in the manual that says to turn off the fuel cutoff! It's not in the quick start, or in the "use" section in the full manual, and it's not marked in anyway you can see it from the top of the generator. Unless you specifically crawl on the ground next to it you can't see the sticker that says fuel cutoff. The manual just says, set the fuel to your type, turn on the choke if it's cold, and then pull on the cord. I pulled that stupid cord 20 times before I happened to trip and see the sticker.

Just received Genset. So far very pleased.

Just received my Genset and did a brief no load test run. Assembly was easy. Started right up on Propane. Will now test under load and see how she performs. Called Tech service as i couldn't find the remote (which they attach to the pull cord for shipping). Tech was US based and super responsive. Said that was the 4th call he received same day on where the remote was located for shipping! Unit is somewhat loud which i expected for its large capacity. Solid unit thru and thru as we go into Hurricane season in the South!
