I recently picked up the Westinghouse iGen4000cv, and while I haven’t had to use it in a "live" emergency situation yet, my initial impressions are very high. I went through the full startup process (added the oil, gassed it up), and it fired right up without a hitch. What Stands Out Initially: Aesthetics & Design: This is a sharp-looking unit. It has a modern, clean design and a surprisingly small footprint for the power it puts out. Portability: At about 60 lbs, it’s fairly light for one person to lift. The telescoping "suitcase-style" handle and wheels make moving it around my driveway and garage a breeze. The Info Panel (The MVP): The LED-lit data center is fantastic. It’s easy to read in low light and provides real-time data on fuel levels, load output, and—most importantly—estimated remaining runtime. Seeing exactly how much "time" you have left at your current load takes a lot of the guesswork out of fuel management. Power-to-Size Ratio: Getting 4,000 peak watts and 3,300 running watts out of a unit this size is impressive. It’s enough to handle my home essentials without being a massive, heavy frame generator. Initial Testing: I ran a quick load test using a jigsaw to see how it handled the draw. The inverter adjusted smoothly, and the power stayed stable. The LED lights on the panel are a nice touch that makes it feel like a premium piece of equipment rather than a basic utility tool. Initial Verdict: For the price, the features and value offered here are tough to beat. If this unit proves to be reliable over the long haul, it will easily be the best generator purchase I’ve ever made. For now, it’s sitting ready as a high-confidence backup for my home for this predicted Arctic Freeze Apocalypse power outage we have coming tonight. The size and weight are great. Power seems to be adequate for my application. It isn't as quiet as I hoped but not terrible. I would have given 5 stars but the extendable handle was missing two of the 4 screws that attached it to the generator.

I purchased this inverter after doing without power during hurricane Milton. This inverter is extremely quiet and easy to start. It starts on the first pull and even did so when I took it out of the box. I have it wired to the entire house as backup power including an interlock switch. Its lightweight and perfect for my application: I need to run two refrigerators, house lights, portable cook top, internet gateway and charging devices. I have been installing residential emergency generators since the Y2K scare, Following my experience volunteering for diasaster cleanup in North Carolina, I decided that I wanted a small and easily portable generator that was quieter and used less gas than my larger unit. This unit seems to be an excellent balance of all those things. I can set it in my truck with 1 hand. It is quiet, my neighbor didn't know I was running it. It has more than adequate capacity to operate my larger saws, and would easily run my essential items if I needed in a power outage, or I could lend it to a needy neighbor. Item arrived on time, packaged well, added supplied break-in oil & fresh gas - easily with supplied screw-in oil nozzle. Started immediately. Ran for the recommended five hours as manual suggested. While varying speed and load while not allowing more then a 1/3 capacity of current draw. Also allowed cool-down within those 5hrs. Easily changed oil & replaced with a recommended 10w-30 synthetic. Couldn’t be more happy!!! Looks quality built, and love the pull out ratcheting handle, makes moving very easy. ... show more

Seems quite easy to assemble. This is a floating neutral generator so you might need to change that if you’re using it for an Rv/camper. It seems like a quality generator. Starts very easy
