  • Powerful, Reliable, and an Unexpected Bonus – Tri-Fuel Upgrade! Powerful, Reliable, and an Unexpected Bonus – Tri-Fuel Upgrade!
Style: 13500 Watts - Dual Fuel
purchased the Westinghouse 13500 Peak Watt Dual Fuel Portable Generator primarily for home backup during outages, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The build quality is top-notch, the remote electric start is incredibly convenient, and it’s truly transfer switch ready, making integration with my home panel smooth and hassle-free. One of the biggest surprises—and a pleasant one—was that I received a free upgrade to the tri-fuel version! That means I can now run it on gasoline, propane, or natural gas, giving me far more flexibility depending on availability and cost of fuel. This alone adds tremendous value and peace of mind. The generator is powerful enough to comfortably run essential home appliances including the refrigerator, lights, modem, and even an HVAC system if needed. The noise level is reasonable for its size and power, and the included wheels and handles make it surprisingly easy to move for such a heavy-duty unit. Overall, this generator is an absolute beast, and the tri-fuel upgrade just sealed the deal for me. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for serious backup power with flexibility and reliability. ... show more

  • Very happy with purchase.
Style: 13500 Watts - Dual Fuel
This is my second Westinghouse portable generator. I'm very impressed with the quality construction and reliability of the generator. It's easy to unbox and assemble and the directions are very clear. You really only have to install the frame supports, the wheels, connect the battery with the easy connect and put in the oil. It took about 15 minutes. The main panel is very clearly labeled as to what function each component operates. Runs great. It's fairly easy to move around with the wheels on. It supplies all of the power that we need when a power outage occurs. Overall, I'm satisfied that I chose the best portable generator for my needs when I selected the Westinghouse 13500. ... show more

  • Simple and well built unit
Style: 13500 Watts - Dual Fuel
Best price excellent quality I would give 5 stars but it will only let you give 4 Simple to follow directions for start up. I followed the directions which was about 3 steps to have it up and running, I didn’t want to run gas in it just to test so I ran it on propane that way I wouldn’t have clean the gas out, gas will go stale and clog up, so I followed the few steps and connected propane tank and pushed the start button and it fired up instantly, I connected a few items to it to run and everything worked perfectly. Now I do not know about other brands but this Westinghouse is very top notch not only with the build quality but also the price and ease of setup. Other brands much more money and do/have less features. So all in all you will not disappointed one bit. I’m not new to generators and by far this has been the easiest to have up and running also for such a large generator it’s noise level is very low, rubber mounts and solid frame most likely have a lot to do with that. Again excellent choice and I am not disappointed one bit ... show more

  • The WGen10500 Is a Beast — and I Mean That in the Best Way!
Style: 13500 Watts - Dual Fuel
This generator is an absolute powerhouse. It fired up instantly, powered my whole house (yes, AC and fridge included), and ran like a champ for hours. The dual-fuel option is a total game-changer, and the electric start makes life easy. It’s built tough, runs surprisingly quiet for its size, and gives you total peace of mind during outages. It starts up smooth, runs quiet, and sips fuel like it’s on a diet. Setup was a breeze, and the build feels rock-solid. I’ve used it for both home backup and weekend camping, and it hasn’t let me down once. If you're on the fence, jump — this generator delivers. If you want serious power without the premium price tag — the WGen10500 is it. ... show more

  • Very impressive generator
Style: 13500 Watts - Dual Fuel
I purchased this item for emergency use. It arrived in perfect condition and required very little effort to install the supports and wheels. It is extremely well made and very easy to operate. Runs like a charm and handles our entire house with ease including our central AC. The remote control will be incredibly handy during bad weather. We test ran this for 10 hours without any problems. For a big engine it pull starts with ease The gas consumption was very good while running the whole house compared to other units from other manufacturers. We live in Florida and were hit with three hurricanes last year so I will upgrade this review this hurricane season Having used generators for the past 45 years I have absolutely notheg bad to say about this unit ... show more

  • GREAT GENERATOR. JUST READ THE REVIEWS
Style: 13500 Watts - Dual Fuel
I purchased the Westinghouse generator after reading the reviews to ensure my home stays powered during outages, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The generator arrived well packaged and in great condition. It was easy to assemble and set up. It took less than an hour, [all necessary tools, oil, funnel, etc.], is provided. I know others said the instructions were hard to follow, but with a little image studying they were quite clear. Overall, I am very impressed with this generator. I completed installing a 50 amp input box to an interlock at the panel with a 50 amp breaker. This generator delivers plenty of power to run essential appliances with ease. As I added load by turning on breakers, the usual change in pitch was nearly undetectable. The features of the generator are excellent, the control panel is well labeled, the outlets are well protected, and the electric start is AWESOME! It is really solidly built, yet it is smooth and easy to move. The sturdy folding handle easily folds out of the way when you don’t need it. I have used the generator twice so far, and have been nothing but impressed. Generators don’t typically make me smile, but this one does. Purchase with confidence, this well-built piece of equipment is worth every penny and won’t disappoint.. ... show more

  • A Helene Flood Survivor Buys A New Westinghouse Generator!
Style: 13500 Watts - Dual Fuel
I just purchased this generator in early July., to replace a similar (but only dual-fuel) Westinghouse generator that was flooded and ruined by Hurricane Helene in September 2024. Needless to say, I am firmly committed to this generator brand. The basic assembly instructions (wheels, forward supports, etc.) are easy to understand and follow. Once prepared, the new generator started immediately from the remote start button and ran flawlessly without a hiccup. The previous generator was very dependable and always started and ran perfectly every time I needed it (which turned out to be pretty often, given the violent thunderstorms in Tampa Bay). The instrumentation panel on the new one is logical, intuitive, and has a large number of different output plugs from 240V/50 amp to two USB ports for DC electronics. It interfaces very well with the installed generator interlock system on the master circuit breaker panel of my home,, so I can seamlessly connect it to my "whole house" circuitry, rather than running extension cords everywhere. I won't use it to run the central HVAC (not enough power), but it will run a few portable HVAC units I've placed in different rooms and other things simultaneously, so we can sleep comfortably even if the main power is off. I short - I would buy this generator again -- and did. Hats off to Westinghouse. ... show more
