  • All of the parts fits well and it is very well engineered.

Went together fast. All fasteners were there. Well designed and executed. Top notch fit and finish.

  • Really nice/quality frame
Size: Full
This was the nicest couch-type wood futon frame with good reviews for the price that I could find. Came in two boxes. We also ordered an 8" innerspring futon mattress. Assembly was involved but straightforward. Instructions were clear. All the parts and tools were provided. The quality of construction couldn't have been better. The finish was perfect. The frame functions fine without the mattress - three settings; chair, recline, bed. The only complication is that the mattress, while being surprisingly comfortable to sit and sleep on, is somewhat heavy. I believe the weight of the mattress affects the function of the futon action when trying to fold it from bed to chair. Doing this requires two of us - one in front, one in back. This is reasonable because most people would likely get a thinner/lighter mattress that should be much easier to fold. I also imagine a metal frame might not have had this issue. Overall, I couldn't be happier. Nice piece of furniture. ... show more

  • LOVE THIS
Size: Full
Super easy to put together. Nice and sturdy. Love that it is all wood. We have it in our 'music room' for sitting on when playing the guitar - reading, or when we need another bed. Very pleased and happy with the quality and the purchase overall.

  • Well Made; Manual Leaves out Mention of Rubber Grommets
Size: Full
Well-made and well-finished from a tough, fairly hard wood with a fairly thorough and easy to follow instruction sheet. However, my instructions left out any mention of the large rubber grommets than fit in the bed-frame and fit in grooves in the arms to facilitate the sliding mechanism of the futon. I had to reverse several steps to put them in. Not a big deal, but a glaring omission in the instructions. It looks great, though, and opens nicely. The seat angle is a tad more acute than I'd like, but Ok. Note several people have said this is "hard to open" or "hard for one person to make into a bed." There is a foolproof method: face the futon, lift up on the leading edge of the seat, and tug forward. The futon thus transforms into a bed very easily. If you try to do this from the back or side, you'll fail, because the seat is locked in place with little saw-tooth shaped bumpers. Lifting up on the seat and tugging forward removes the bumpers from the equation, and one person can make this into a bed in about six seconds. ... show more

  • Looks nice, comfortable as bed or couch and sturdy
Size: Full
I had bought this futon at the end of 2020 for my 40 year old son who lives with me. I had received the check from the govt because of the covid impact and I couldn't see my son sleeping on the couch we have because it is not long enough, so I decided to put the extra money into a good use. I live in an apartment in NYC so I decided to look for something that would help my son sleep comfortably and still fit in the living room. I am so happy I did my homework by reading the reviews and also read what actually came with it. I am still extremely happy that I purchased this futon, it is sturdy, the mattress I bought for it is holding up great and is comfortable for either sitting or sleeping and even though I haven't been able to change the position, my son has no problem. The mattress I bought was not from the same company and is an 8" coil spring, no problem with slipping either and looks beautiful as a piece of furniture. ... show more

  • Good sturdy futon
Size: Full
Easy to put together, just need to pay close attention. Screws not labeled but none look alike so no issues there. Accidentally put the slats in upside down and needed help to flip it upright. Other than that, didnt really need two people to put it together. Came in two boxes, no futon mattress, remember to buy that if youre attracted to this piece because its cheaper. Like other reviewers said, the screws that keep the slats in place are held in place by flimsy pins. The stress is not on the pins so its no issue, but if you have to take this apart and put it together often, they could break. ... show more

  • Take your time assembling
Size: Full
The instructions are great but there is so much going on I wish they had a video to watch. I did go online and watch one that was useless because it was speed up too much, but the other, from another vendor was slower, and close up on the things I needed to know before I started. The slats are attached with strapping and there are three smaller slats that go across them, already having the hardware placed which is a blessing. That is the biggest area I needed to visually see because the pattern instructions are small. Once all the outside bars are on, then you need to attach seat to back and then you need to get that into the slats of the arms. Once accomplished then you need to go back and 'tighten' all of the hardware you have already messed with. Important as you expect folks to sit or sleep on this. The allen wrench is fine, but patience and tiime are both needed to wrench away. Small spaces to work in means no additional assistance with another kind of tool. I took mine out, checked for damage (the shipper just creamed the outside), placed everything in my room, checked all the hardware first and seperated it so I know what is what and there is enough of it. Read the instructions, watched the videos' and waited until the next day to start the project. Watched the race and enjoyed the afternoon on the floor. Tylenol here I come! ... show more

  • Handsome and sturdy, accommodates our 12” thick mattress!
It’s a handsome piece and very sturdy, we’re very pleased to have purchased it for our baby boy’s room / guest room. My husband put it together over two some hours; it was a little complex but he got it done. He can move it from couch to bed by himself, but he is a strong guy, so others may need a hand. We were gifted a 12” thick futon mattress for this from Kohl’s (no springs) - we were worried it wouldn’t work out with this frame, but are pleased to say it meets our needs! Yes, it’s a little harder to bend and when I sit on it in couch form, my feet don’t touch the floor. But it’s extremely comfortable to sleep on (the main point of us getting it was for guest quarters) and comfortable to sit on. We don’t intend to switch it daily from bed to couch, and it’s not a headache to do so. Also, I got a sticky mat to hold the futon on the frame, but haven’t actually needed it because I guess the mattress is so snug. Maybe with thinner mattresses it would slide, but we don’t have that problem. We will return the mat. ... show more
