These pants are exactly what I was looking for. Living in central Texas you wouldn’t think we would need them but we have had crazy winters the last few years and I walk every other day. These will be perfect for TX & our trips to CO. Size wise, I would wear a small but ordered medium and I have plenty of room to add layers for extra warmth.

Okay so first impression... I'm 5'5 145lbs. I Cary my weight in my hips and buttox. I typically wear size 8-10 depending on the clothes. Which would be either a medium or large. Based on reviews that these pants run small and tight in the hips I ordered large. I should have gone with the medium. They were baggy and left alot of room for junk that my female body does not have ;P (this is entirely my fault for ordering a large - not the pants fault!) I sat in my 70° house for a few moments and felt rather comfortable. I was not hot. I had a thin layer of typical cotton leggings under neath. I went outside where it was 30-36° (I can't remember exactly but it was in that range) I did feel a but cool and could feel the wind- was immediately dreading the -30 that we usually get in the winter knowing these pants would probably not make the cut. I came in and changed (no longer needed snow pants) and tried them again today with a heavier pair of leggings underneath. We got 2-3 inches of snow and I was building a fence. As in livestock fencing. These pants held up to me showing screws in the pockets (do not recommend but when you live on a farm it's bound to happen) and stood up to me being in the snow pretty much all day. I was never cold but I was also wearing some heavy winter gear on tip and snow boots. So can not give the pants all the credit. Was definitely warmer than jeans tho. Eventually I came inside and took a seat at my dining room table. Felling something wet on my butt, where my son had spilled his drink and didn't tell me, I discovered the pants were not all that water proof. However when doing general labor in the snow they did just fine and I was not cold or wet out there. Probably won't try to sit in the snow with these on though. For warmth- a heavy thermal layer under neath for temperatures 20 and below will probably be yla good friend. These did do a good job at keeping moisture and wind break minimal. I will be keeping them for my general labor activies this winter. Probably will try a different pair for sledding and snow fun.

I ordered these for a trip to Iceland. I am 5’4” and have big hips so I ordered a large in the gray. The waist has a stretchy back panel and overall they fit great. However, I wore these in every condition, every day in Iceland and they were amazing. I DID wear various base layers with them so I cannot speak to how warm they are on their own. We had a few days that were warmer than others when I only wore a very thin base layer and they were great. The most impressive thing for me is that, in the driving rain (like wind blowing the rain sideways type of rain), I was not once wet on my person. These kept me warm and bone dry. More so than people with actual ski pants. I could never have made it through this trip without them. They said it was the coldest January sine 1918 and I was nice and toasty. Great zipper pockets and I love the Velcro on the bottom to adjust for boots. Now that I am home, I plan to use them for dog walking in the Northeast. Cannot recommend these enough.

These are amazing. They keep you warm, are comfortable and stylish. I wore them just this week on the ski hill. I’m in Colorado. Wind was blowing and the temperature was right at 30 degrees. I had a pair of fleece lined leggings on and was not uncomfortable at all. I tend to overdress as to not get cold. I figure it easier to take something off TID I’m too hot than go back to the car and add more clothes! These would be great for late season hikes. There’s just enough fleece in the pants to keep you warm. I bought an XL and could probably done with a large. I’m 5’4 and 165. Hope that helps! Enjoy!
