He gets compliments on the bag everywhere. It still works flawlessly (zippers, button straps etc.) the stitching isn’t fraying. The leather has only gotten better with age. I got this as a gift for my boyfriend, who tours professionally. He was thrilled. The look and feel are fantastic. Real leather. The threading is strong and he said he likes the way it hangs off his kit. I know he has gotten a bunch of compliments on it from other musicians. He has about 10 sets of sticks he carries in it, and is able to use the buckles to clasp his keys on for quick access.

I just got this bag today to go with my new drum kit. First stick bag I've bought in 30 years. The leather is strong and the pockets are ample. One of the best features on this bag is that all metal is covered. Unless you decide to tuck the pocket flaps in (don't know why you would) there is no metal that can rub up against your floor toms and potentially damage your finish. The only thing I would have liked to have seen would be an extra little pocket in front of the sticks for an easy to grab drum key. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. I also thought I'd be able to get a few more sticks in there. I'm hoping the leather will stretch. I would highly recommend this bag!

First, the leather is beautiful and very substantial! The stitching is excellent and I have no doubt this back will last a long, long time! The design is well thought out, better than any bag I have ever seen! Everything you see in the photos of this bag is what you get. pockets, stick compartments, etc. all work great and make this an easy bag to use. This bag has a little more weight to it than most stick bags, because it's real leather and super comfortable to carry either on my shoulder, across my back or inside my cymbal bag. As the leather ages and the bag breaks-in, it is taking on a deeper iron/reddish color and looks even more amazing! This is a true example of a well thought out design, with high quality materials and an excellent manufacturing standard and I assume drummers took part in this design! Werkens got it right!!!

I just got this a few days ago.. After I bought it, I read some of the reviews complaining of thin leather. That is not the case with the one I recieved.. It's beautifully constructed and I am confident it will last many many years.. the last stick bag I'll ever buy. Very satisfied.

While technically the definition of leather is animal hide, the material used for this bag is by no means what we universally regard as leather; it is a very, very thin hide, and definitely not cowhide. It is so thin that I found myself wondering what animal it might be made of. So thin, in fact, that multiple layers of hide had to be used to ensure that the shoulder strap was strong enough. A synthetic material was used on the inside of the main section of the bag as a backing, likely to reinforce the structure of the bag. While these things didn't bother me all that much, I was sorely disappointed that only a single layer of this thin "leather" was used to affix the rings for the shoulder strap. Let's put it this way: Although a drumstick bag shouldn't weigh that much even when filled, I could envision the leather breaking where the rings were attached to the bag. That clasps used on the shoulder strap and floor tom tethers are of very low quality. Although they are swiveling clasps, they are very hard to swivel, and the action upon opening and closing the clasps is so rough they tend to bind. Although I really liked the size of the exterior pockets, the bag itself is much longer than it needs to be. I have no complaints in regards to the craftsmanship itself, and the bag was indeed carefully packaged. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the drumstick bag came in its own protective cotton linen bag with a drawstring. In the end, I ended up returning it because of the too-thin leather used to attach the shoulder strap rings, the rough action of the hardware, and the bag being too long.
